"Called for appointment and was able to get within 2 weeks. Austin called in advance to say he was on way. He clearly explained what he was checking and what would occur. He replaced sump pump and check valve, resealed radon cover, and then checked outside to see where sump was draining to. Finally, he tested street drainage with water from the hose. I was very happy with Amanda Plumbing and would use them again, and was happy with Austin's work. I may use in the spring to downspout and drain cleaning. My usual plumber would have only replaced the sump, but would not do drain checking. Amanda is more of a full service plumber, since they handle plumbing, drains, and sewers"

"Main sewer line was starting to back up. Cleanout was installed by Eco Plumbers in a previous visit. Holden arrived on time and jetted the main sewer line after the cleanout was installed. Travis followed up after the jetting to inspect the rest of the line to determine next steps. He was good at recommending future maintenance work to avoid needing to replace the whole sewer line in the near future."

"Called for an estimate only. They returned my call quickly came out and gave me a price range from high to low. They were ease to talk to and seemed like friendly guys. They allowed me to look at the root ball so I could visually understand the nature of the problem. So I told them to clean it. when the job was done they showed me the clean sewer line all the way to the main sewer"

"When my water heater was in need of repair, I called them, they were prompt, courteous and professional. My water heater was 29 years old, no hope of a repair. I was shocked how much it cost to replace it. But I was given several options. I was told there was an issue with my vent, that there was a backdraft. I thought it was a sales pitch, so I found out how to check it my self. It was true, Carbon Monoxide was coming back into my basement. Yiikes. I went with a tankless water heater, mainly because of the warranty. The plumbers we very fast and friendly, it was complete in 5 hours. Inspection was included, of course we passed. I would recommend this company to everyone I know."

"The team at Eand B Wooley, lead by Heath, were amazing! We were sold on Heath within minutes of meeting him for the estimate. He was friendly, professional, and experienced. He knew right away the nuances of our situation having an older house with sewer, water, and gas lines very close together. He easily explained how he would approach the repair and the potential pitfalls that could occur and how each would be addressed. <br /> After choosing to work with Eand B Wooley contacting Heath for the follow-up items on scheduling and additional questions was a breeze. Heath gave us an estimated work time and called 48 hours prior to re-confirm. He handled everything - the permits, materials etc. <br /> The day of the repair Heath and the guys (John and Nick) showed up on-time and got to work right away. Within the minutes the trench was 6' deep. Within 3 hours they had replaced 13' of pipe, retrieved a broken snake left by the previous service company, back filled the trench, and had cleaned up the work area. <br /> Heath and the guys were very friendly and easily answered all of my questions. It appeared that the three of them had a great rapport with each other and enjoyed their work. <br /> Another plus of working with Eand B Wooley is that they have the ability to email estimates, receipts, and accept credit card payments! <br />"

FAQs for sewer main install, replace or repair projects in Lewis Center, OH

When installing a sewer line, you should consider extra costs like tree removal, driveway repairs, or patio resurfacing. Hiring a professional plumber is essential, and you may need additional specialists if landscaping or heavy excavation is involved. Addressing these potential extras up front helps ensure accurate budgeting and prevents sudden cost overruns.

To calculate the length of sewer piping you need, measure the distance from your house to the main sewer line, adding the depth of the city main to this distance. Be sure to account for any obstacles like tree roots or utility lines that may require additional piping.

City sewer lines are installed at a lower elevation to prevent unwanted backflow and water damage. This lower positioning ensures enhanced performance and long-term safety, meeting all technical and safety standards.

With trenchless methods, a plumber inserts a smaller pipe within the existing plumbing, avoiding full excavation. It can be more cost-effective and less disruptive than traditional methods, but it's not suitable for all homes.

Yes, you must secure permission from your local water authority before connecting to a public sewer line. This approval ensures your connection meets all regulatory requirements.

Sewer lines are buried between 18 inches and 8 feet deep, with most systems placed between 18 and 30 inches. In colder regions, pipes are set deeper to remain below the frost line.
