"WONDERFUL. Hank and Bobby showed up on time and found the problem I had not been able to locate for 24 hours. They fixed it in a quick and professional manner. I would have these two gentlemen do work for me at any time. Thanks"

"Did not use. Would not provide quote over the phone. I understand why as the quoted onsite price of $304 was well above other quotes of around $200. Looking for a reasonably priced and capable plumbing service - based on their reviews thought I had found one. Not to be."

"I’m a travel nurse currently working in Maine. I own a home in Columbia, SC and contacted this company to repair a gas valve for my oven. They did not show up to the first appointment so I called them back to schedule a new appointment. They finally came out and billed me 125$ for fixing a “clogged toilet” that my renter says was never clogged. I contacted the secretary back and she apologized and we scheduled a new appointment. She said the amount I paid would be applied to the gas valve. They never showed up to the next appointment. I then spoke with a manager who said they were not going to refund my money or apply it to the gas valve. Now the company is refusing to answer my calls. This has been a nightmare and my oven still isn’t fixed after 3 weeks. Can someone please reach out to me? I have proof that I contacted your company about a gas valve and not a toilet."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Lexington, SC

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
