"We recently had our fence line cleared, yard leveled and brick pavers installed by Paragon Landscape Management, and the entire experience was outstanding from start to finish. The crew was professional, punctual, and highly skilled. They took the time to understand our vision, offered helpful suggestions, and delivered results that exceeded our expectations. For example, we mentioned that the area behind our garage frequently got muddy but we weren't ready to commit to installing sod in the area. They suggested mulch and it has worked so well these past few months and looks wonderful! Plus our dog rarely tracks mud into the house now. Our project was overseen by Jack and Martin who were fantastic and communicated with us throughout. The workmanship is flawless, and the attention to detail shows in every corner of the space. We've gotten so many compliments on it!"

"I’ve done a lot of remodeling over several years, and Rockstarr Masonry is the best outfit I’ve ever worked with. Amazing professional stonework done quickly and reasonably! Only took them a day to add stone facade to my fireplace and it makes such a difference. Very nice and efficient people to work with, it was a pleasure, thank you!"

"I was extremely impressed with the Masterbuilder Fellowship. Our primary contact was Sean Murray, but everyone we met was very professional, thorough, and knowledgeable. The first step was interesting, and unlike any other project we've done. They did an in-depth interview about our interests, what we liked to do, how did we want the space (primarily the kitchen and back deck) to be used. I do a lot of cooking, so they spent a good bit of time designing a space that we would be happy with. They also came up with ideas we'd not thought of- e.g., moving a wall to expand our walk-in shower, putting in a balcony where there was a window, and countless other touches. Yes, we had the usual glitches, primarily with sub-contractors not showing up and bad weather. Throughout it all, Sean coordinated multiple tasks and- here's the great part- made absolutely sure we were totally happy with the end result. We ended up with an absolutely transformed kitchen that is a joy to cook in, or just hang out. He transformed our old, wooden back deck into a lovely stone patio with a boulder retaining wall and a beautiful waterfall feature. I will always have a warm spot in my heart for Masterbuilder Fellowship. They all impressed me with their integrity, follow-through, and especially their dedication to making changes that would enrich our life. A nice plus: they have a great network of contractors that they've worked with for years, so you can be assured that any outside work (like painting) will be top-notch. Love those guys! (Considering how much everything ended up costing, that's saying a lot!)"

"If I could give NO STARS, I absolutely would. They came out in August to repair our outdoor fire pit. In September, they returned and asked for almost $600.00 to order the part. From Sept. to Jan would not respond to our calls, messages etc... In January, I spoke to someone in the office. She stated that the manager said they would have our fire pit repaired by the end of Jan. or they would refund us fully. I have called and left messages. Today, I received a text that stated they would come out next week for the installation. This was only after I asked for our refund again and told them I would hire an attorney. I told them again today that I do not want them to fix this now, and we wish for our full refund—NO RESPONSE TO MY MESSAGE OF COURSE. STAY CLEAR OF THESE MONEY GRABBERS."

"Justin and Elephas (not sure of the spelling—sorry!) came out to replace my panel and meter base. I’d recently bought a home that was built in 1976, and a lot of the features are original, including, unfortunately, the panel box outside, which had literally been tied back on by the previous owner when it came loose. Elephas did the initial estimate and was very kind and knowledgeable, showing me everything that was going on with the old panel, his recommendations for replacing the panel and breakers and the meter base together. I received a detailed estimate very quickly and when I called with questions about it, I was put in touch with Justin, their lead technician. He was knowledgeable and thorough and they got me on the schedule ASAP. Both Justin and Elephas came out to do the work. There was a bit of a mix up with the electric company getting out here to de-energize, and they did as much as they could to prep and set up while waiting, then they were efficient and thorough while working, and took the time to walk me through everything once they were done. They stated on-site until the power company came back and restored us, so they’d be sure we were all set. I feel very confident that the work was high quality and both men were friendly, polite, knowledgeable, and patient. Good communication throughout the process, and anytime I had to call, I usually spoke with Skylar, who was also terrific — patient, kind, followed up when I needed it. I would definitely recommend Walker Electric if you’re needing electric work done."

FAQs for outdoor kitchen building service projects in Lincolnton, NC

Building your own pizza oven can be a cost-effective option if you already possess the necessary firebricks or materials and have the skills to complete the project. When you have the required supplies on hand, you save on material costs and labor fees. However, if you need to source every component, a pre-made kit may not deliver the same savings.

Fire bricks are engineered to withstand the high temperatures generated inside a pizza oven, protecting the structure from cracking or spalling. Standard bricks can fail under intense heat, potentially damaging the oven and creating safety risks. By using true fire-rated bricks, homeowners maintain consistent cooking temperatures, preserve the oven’s structural integrity, and reduce the likelihood of costly repairs. The modest increase in material cost is offset by longer service life and safer operation.

An optimal pizza oven installation positions the opening exactly between 36 and 48 inches above the ground to guarantee clear visibility and safe, comfortable access. This height optimizes heat distribution and ergonomic use. In addition, dome height can vary: shorter domes produce the signature soft, charred crust of Neapolitan pies, whereas taller domes are ideal for generating the robust baking environment required for New York–style pizzas.
