"Dave & Andrew were awesome to work with. They were prompt in responses, gave an accurate timeline of when they could install the fence, and quoted a very fair price. The entire installation was completed in just a few hours. The workmanship is top notch and the materials were quality. Not only did they install my fence they also quoted my neighbor's fence at the same time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Simple Fence to anyone. This is an excellent company to hire for any fence installation needs."

"It went fine, however, I was told the job would take roughly 8 hours for 1 person. It ended up being 15 hours, partly with a second handyman. So it was twice as much as we were expecting, and the price is already pretty high. Also, the second handyman brought an extra piece of siding that was not needed. We had already purchased a piece and had it painted, ready to install. So that was an unnecessary added expense. But I guess it's ok as we'll probably need it at some point in the future. What was really weird is that the same mistake happened when we had a piece of siding replaced a few years ago! Overall, they did a good job though, despite the cold weather."

"Even though I was unclear about the date, Simpson's accommodated me every time. They kept me informed every step of the way en-route. They traveled what I considered to be a considerable distance. Every step of the project exceeded my expectations in time limit and results. The workers were prompt, professional, and polite. As I couldn't do my part as I said I would to prepare the deck by power washing it myself, Simpson's were very happy to come an additional day to do the complete job. The cost was very affordable according to our availability to pay. I would definitely hire Simpson's again and again and highly recommend them to anyone. (I would love to send pictures but I get an error msg,)"

"We Love our deck!! It was custom built by Horizon with flower stands, custom lattice and benches. They also staining decks and gave me good advice on what product to use to finish it since we wanted to do it our self. He also build and installed wooden wide custom shelfs in our walk-in closet. Serge was very reasonable and super nice guy, would hire him again."

"Crawford Construction did a very good job. I'm very happy and satisfied with the result. Contacting them was easy. I texted them a description of the job and sent them a photo. Crawford Construction called me the same day, gave me a quote and scheduled the job on the phone. The following day they took the old section of fascia to match the color and shape and visually inspected what needed to be repaired. They installed the new piece and completed the job on the third day as scheduled and as quoted. Crawford Construction did their job professionally and promptly while other services that I contacted hesitated to do a small job. Crawford Construction delivered what they said they'll do. I will highly recommend them to anyone and I will use their services again should the need arise."

"
It got off to a slow start. The lin provided when I purchased a coupon didn't work. And after I called and had an initial visit, their e-mail server wouldn't send an attached quote.
But once their logistics were reorganized, almost everything went well.
The work proceeded on schedule and was done well. I was pleased enough that I asked for estimates on two other jobs and plan to follow thru later this fall or next spring. Reframing the door was a much bigger job than they anticipated because the existing doorway was neither level, plumb nor square. The new door, and its associated storm door had to be cut down more than anticipated.
Which led to the main glitch in the project. The storm door originally purchased had to be exchanged for a smaller one. The contractor took it back and exchanged it. But it wasn't till several days after the work was completed and paid for, that I realized that the replacement storm door was a different style than the one originally selected. It was on a back door, so the aesthetics were not crucial, but I didn't like the appearance as well as the original. More important, one is more likely to push against the screen itself, rather than the metal bar on the other style. The contractor was apologetic and promised to provide a discount on the next job to make up for the mistake.
All-in-all I was satisfied with the workmanship and price, and plan to use them again"

FAQs for barbed wire fence installation projects in Lititz, PA

Barbed wire is a type of fencing made from steel wire with sharp edges or points spaced along the strands. It's designed to prevent unauthorized entry or contain livestock by acting as a physical deterrent. Barbed wire fences are often seen in agricultural settings or high-security areas because they're effective, durable, and require little maintenance.

You can expect to pay between $3 and $6 per linear foot for a barbed wire fence, including installation. The exact price depends on factors like material quality, number of strands, wire thickness, and labor costs. If you have a larger project, bulk purchasing and hiring a professional might offer cost savings.

The number of strands you need depends on the fence's purpose and the level of security you want. For a standard livestock fence, you might use three to five strands. For higher-security needs, you may require more strands to meet your needs. Consider your specific requirements and talk to your fence installation pro to determine the appropriate number.

Barbed wire fencing regulations vary by location. In many residential areas, the use of barbed wire is restricted or prohibited due to safety concerns. Before installing a barbed wire fence, work with your barbed wire fence installation pro to check local zoning laws and homeowner association rules to ensure compliance with regulations.

The lifespan of a barbed wire fence depends on the quality of materials and environmental conditions. Fences made with high-quality, galvanized wire and proper coatings can last between 20 and 30 years. Regular maintenance and inspections can extend the fence's longevity by addressing issues like rust or damaged strands promptly.
