"The team at Avstep were amazing. So friendly and helpful. They replaced our garage roof and helped us with joist work. They were right on time, were super efficient, and organized and cleaned as they were working. It was so nice to talk with them and were very upfront and honest. "Our project was a 14' x 14' screened porch. We selected Scott SCS from other contractors based on the interview, his knowledge, understanding of the project, and communication skills. He improved our original design and made numerous suggestions during the construction process. He understood our vision of the porch and he delivered. From start to finish Scott and his work crew were always on time, polite, professional, and cleaned up the area before departing every day. I was on site watching and taking photos. So I can attest to the craftmanship and attention to detail of the crew. Every day I was informed of their plans and then I provided my thoughts, ideas, and concerns. We are extremely pleased with the finish porch and I would highly recommend SCS. They are a 10 in every category."

Going into the project, my biggest concern about hiring a contractor was reliability—I had heard too many stories about contractors not showing up or following through. Matt completely put those fears to rest. He was always available to discuss any concerns and personally visited the job site to make sure everything met my expectations. His top priority was ensuring I was happy with the work. Even months after the project was completed, when a small issue came up, Matt followed through and made sure it was corrected. I had completely gutted my kitchen, and I couldn’t be happier with the results."

"It is the 2nd time I hired them it was opposite of the 1st. It was everything you worry about with contractors. Professionalism: Constantly foul cursing arguments. It made my infant baby cry and my wife upset. His last text was I should have given you a middle finger. LOW CLASS Cost: He lowered cost on the job as a repeat customer but complained about it every day. It was used as an excuse for why he delayed the job and needed to cut corners. He made me pay full price for an unfinished job so I finished it myself Quality: It was measure once cut twice instead of measure twice cut once. Most materials were ready at the start for weeks. He had plenty of time to measure and plan it out. Instead the installs were misaligned. When things broke his 1st words was it is not my fault or it came out of the box that way. Then threatened to charge me to fix it. He picked low quality products & complained when I changed to a better product. Details were ignored, unfinished, trim wrong color"

"I had an old refrigerator, microwave and some other things to be removed from my backyard. Robert was the original guy I I contacted. We talked pricing and then arranged a Time for pickup. Vinny was the worker that came out on time I may add he introduced himself and got straight to work it took him about not even 15 minutes to get all the stuff on the trailer. We talked for a bit and he informed me that they were a construction company that also did repairs and to keep them in mind if I ever needed anything which I will I've added them to my contact list. I think Robert and Vinny are phenomenal guys. They were both professional and friendly at the same time. I gave them five stars but that really not enough to describe how they made me feel like a special and valued customer.
