"David and Sam were very helpful and knowledgeable from start to finish. It was a large kitchen/bathroom remodel in an older house that also included a partial remodel on a third bathroom to install new plumbing and electrical for a washer and dryer. They started with a 3D CAD model of the kitchen done by their designer with input from me and then followed it exactly. The finished project was beautiful and looked even better than the drawings. There were several big challenges along the way including lowering the kitchen floor and also removing a load-bearing wall which required an architect and an engineer for city approval. They had all the contacts needed and I didn't have to go out and look for them myself. They also got all needed permits and approvals and were there for all inspections. Whenever a particular part of the project wasn't quite what I expected they cheerfully redid it until I was happy. They even fixed some problems that were caused previously by other contractors during an earlier remodel. David went to the tile store with me and was available anytime I had questions on appliances and fixtures. Sam, who was in charge of the structural work, was knowledgeable in every area of construction and personally did the trickiest framing and bracing work himself to make sure it was done right. Even though the project is done they come by whenever I have a question or see something that needs a minor adjustment. They are easy to reach, always cheerful, and never avoid me or leave me hanging. They were even flexible on the pricing and gave me different options depending on my available budget. I'm going to do a bathroom addition in a few years and am planning on using them for that. "

"The whole experience was professional. The owner called me back within one hour of making my inquiry and arranged for a workman to come and fix a window that had been broken by tree trimmer. I received a follow up call to confirm the scheduled time. The workman was professional and polite and the job was well done. I cannot rate the value for money as I did not do any comparison shopping."

Ideas & Inspiration from Los Angeles Window Replacement Companies

Los Angeles Window Repair

There's no getting around the fact that glass breaks. When it's a cup that falls on the floor, about all the equipment you need to fix the situation is a broom or vacuum, but when the glass in your window breaks, the job requires a bit more know-how. A broken window can mar an otherwise beautiful setting. It may also create an atmosphere that is drafty and uncomfortable, or create a space for unwanted insects to enter your home. Before you settle on a window repair company, there are a few things you should consider to make sure you're getting the best service possible.

Hiring the Right Person for the Job
Neither windows nor window repair people are created equally. Especially when it comes to specialty glass (stained, etched, picture windows, etc.), hiring the right company can make the difference in getting a great job done at a reasonable price. Not every contractor will have experience with these less common windows, but doing the legwork to find one that does is well worth the extra energy.

Even fixing a typical window should be done by a company that meets your standards of experience and budget. While some companies might suggest replacing a broken window with a brand new one (fine, if that's what you want done, but a rather expensive operation if you're not prepared for it), a local handyman service may be able to patch up an offending window for a fraction of the cost. The best thing you can do as a homeowner in this situation is to contact several different companies in Los Angeles and get several estimates before you hire someone.

Common Window Repairs in LA
Cracked glass is certainly a valid reason to call for window repair, but it's not the only one. Loose glass, broken frames, poorly functioning hardware, and gaps that let in outside air or allow inside air to escape are all problems that can reduce the efficiency of your home. You might also want to call in a pro if your windows are unable to be opened easily after years of being painted shut, or if, once they are opened, it is difficult to keep them that way.

A window that isn't flush on all sides can pave the way for insects to come inside. As soon as one ant notices that it has a pathway to your food, its buddies are pretty quick about turning the newly found trail into a superhighway that would rival the 405 at rush hour. Bug spray might do the trick for a while, but fixing the problem at the source is an even better and less pungent solution.

Prices of Window Repair in Los Angeles
Like many things in Los Angeles, window repair is likely to cost a bit more than it does in other areas of the country. According to the data that HomeAdvisor records, $400 is the national average price for window repair. Los Angeles residents can expect their repair bills to be a little higher, and their replacement costs to be higher still. While we've seen some figures come in under the national average, we've also seen window replacement projects in the L.A. area of up to $20,000, which is significantly higher than the country's average of $6,500. Once again, getting multiple quotes is generally the best way for a homeowner to get the most for his or her home improvement dollar, and get the results you want while keeping within your budget.
