"Mottern did a fantastic job designing and installing a large flagstone-on-concrete patio for us. The work included excavating and leveling the site, pouring and re-enforcing the slab, and selecting and purchasing the stone, brick and other materials. In addition to the patio, Mottern also filled in an approx. 12 sq/ft section of brick wall where a door had been converted to a window. The filled-in brick and mortar matches the original 50-year old wall perfectly. Overall, the entire Mottern crew was prompt, responsive, professional, and very skillful. We would definitely use Mottern again."

"Stone River Masonry is a great contracting company. We have used them for 2 projects now and would and will definitely use them again. When replacing our worn-out old PA flagstone w/brick border walkway (that was literally crumbling away due to poor workmanship for another), they are so expert at what they do they did not damage any of the existing landscape lighting or landscape/plants! Our walkway/porch/walls are all beautiful. We have referred to others who, too, have used them and are pleased with their decision. "We had been told by a home inspector and another chimney sweep/repair company that we needed to replace our damper with a new lock-top damper requiring an adapter - a costly repair on our budget.   Prior to committing to the repair, we called A&T to come out and give us a second opinion.  Dennis from A&T evaluated our chimney and determined that the damper was basically fine but just a little rusty.   They applied some oil to the damper so it would move more freely and that was that.  
Not only did they save us hundreds of dollars on a repair we didn't need, they charged $0 for the visit and the (admittedly minor) work.  Dennis also pointed out another important repair that was needed - the heat reflecting panels that line the inside of the fireplace were cracked, which is a potential fire hazard.  This hadn't even been mentioned by the home inspector or the other chimney company.
So although I can't judge the quality of their work beyond applying a bit of oil, I can attest to their courtesy, integrity and professionalism and say that  from now on, I will call them first for all of my chimney needs.

"Great!  Very easy to work with, answered all of my questions - even with 2 follow-up phone calls, showed up as expected and completed all of the work in one day - altho almost dark when finished. Installers took great care to have straight (property) lines and (top line) fence sections.  Installed 3 gates with sturdy posts and concrete foundations, so will not sag later.  Fence is beautiful and economical.  Neighbors also commented on aesthetics.  Would definitely use/recommend!
