"We have Dave winterize our summer house: turn our water off and blow out our pipes every winter. In the spring he comes to turn the water back on. Weâ re never home but Dave has consistently done the work as needed, and we never worry about the work being done, the quality of the work, or the trustworthiness of this professional. Thank you so much, Dave."

"I was told what was needed and the cost. I was also offered a lower cost, but I would need other repairs later. I chose to replace everything needed. I got a new kitchen faucet, (now the sprayer works!) and new plastic pipes under the sink. Nice!"

"Air conditioner/ furnace was humming al night and apparently had a slow leak. I called GRH&C around 12 and they had someone out by 1:30 and replaced pump by 2. Nice, friendly, nonforceful group of service professions!! Alsio the administrative staff is very pleasant to work with! We have a renta unitl that GRH&C has been involved in getting started with air conditioning and furnace as well as our main residence, I wouldn't use anyone else!!"

"My pump died on me around 8:00 p.m. one night and Staydry sent someone right over the same night and had the pump replaced in 30 minutes and I haven’t had any issues since. I will definitely call them for any further issues I have with my basement."

"Went well to this point of replacing parts. Then the United needed to have a system leak test and then needed freon put in pump. This was refused by Choice warranty. We were left with a partial repair and a heat pump not able to do it's job."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Lowell, MI

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
