"We had a new heating A/C unit installed by the Darville Co last week. Ann Darville helped us choose the right unit for our house and our budget. She made an appointment that worked with our schedules. The 2 men who did the actual install, Israel and Vince, were great. They were on time, very professional, answered all our questions, were nice to my dogs, and even cleaned up after themselves. The new unit fit in the old space but wouldn't fit through the existing door frame. Darville made all the arrangements to make sure a new door and frame were properly installed and painted. Everything was perfect and we highly recommend The Darville Company."

"<p>Jerry was kind enough to refund me $260. My husband and I were very grateful for that. He is a professional concerned with his reputation in the community, and we like that! We would hire him again.</p>"

"I called Mr. Powers around 7:35 am. He answered the phone and I told him a pipe had broken around the meter and that water was pouring into my yard prior to me cutting off the water. He was able to come out very promptly and repaired the broken brass pipe and fitting within a short time (around an hour). He was extremely courteous, professional and obviously knew what he was doing. In addition, Mr. Powers explained to me what he found and how he was going to fix the problem. I will definitely recommend him to neighbors and friends and will call him for any future plumbing needs I may have."

"Sounds pricey for "just" a hot water heater - BUT - my house is old, and it didn't even have an outside vent for the heater.  Additionally, all the pipes coming and going were over 30-years old, so I had those replaced, too.  He actually had to drill a vent through the outside brick of the house and redo the holes going up through the ceiling.  I' ve used this guy for 7-years, and he's been great every time.  I've called at night, on weekends, he's always responsive.  The only problem is, sometimes there's a little wait, because he has a tremendous business that extends quite a ways outside this little town.  But he's worth the wait.  I've never had to have any replaced or redone once he's done the job.  Can't say enough good things about him and his son (who works with him)."

"All services were provided promptly, professionally, and finished satisfactorily. The answering service is courteous and professional. They will give you a time frame in which to expect the service. They call the day of the service when they are on their way. They are respectful of the house and wear paper booties on shoes. If you need, they will give an estimate of the costs before they begin the work. They also provide an annual contract where they do routine inspections every 6 months of all interior and exterior plumbing connections. This is one of the best run family businesses in the area. <br /> <br />"

"They have been great. They cover all appliances, heating, air, and plumbing. It is $60 for an initial visit to have a ticket open. They basically fix whatever the problem is, but any secondary damage, like in my case. I had a pipe burst. They helped me with the pipes, but all of the flooding, I had to go through my homeowners insurance as a result of that. It is a little bit of paperwork, but it has been working well for me.  <br /> <br /> I didn't do a whole lot of comparison shopping. The first year of service was a gift from my real estate agent. I don't think the price has been awful for what they have covered. I have just had great service and had no reason to change."

"They came out and cleaned out a stopped up sewer line. It was the second time in several months. They then told us the sewer line was broke under the house and it needed to be excavated and replaced. We told them to give us an estimate. We waited and waited. We called them again and waited. We called them a third time for an estimate. We never heard from them again. We have been their customer for several decades. If they had been unable to do the work why didn't they just say so or better yet refer us to someone who could. We are now sitting here waiting for an unknown company to come and do the work. If the work is minor they seem to be able to do the work. If it's major ...don't call them. So much for doing business locally. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Lufkin, TX

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
