"Dwight was wonderful. I placed my request for a champion garage opener pro on a Wednesday night . Thursday morning he responded. I told him that the actual garage machine was already mounted , but the sensor and the door opening components were not installed. He said that was not problem and he quoted me a very low price — he beat out his competitors. He told me that he was in my area and could be at my house in 30 minutes. He came and got to the job right away. He even found a part to my system that I thought was lost. He is a professional man . If you want honesty and good service. He is the garage door / opener installer ."

"Our is 2.5 storey and steep roof. Owner visited and without getting on roof told me that you need to replace 2 flashings. The house is 9 years old and according to him ( I am not sure) it is better to replace flashing after 10-12 years any way. I think flashing should have same about 30 years life of roof. However, I accepted the recommendation as cost was $150. Also, I don't think they inspected or did anything on other side of the roof. He sent Brian in the following week to carry out work. Brian is really hardworking honest guy. He spent about 4 hours on roof to replace flashing and nail down singhles on one side of roof. I was not happy since they didn't even look at other side of roof. Since my $200 +79 was worth their effort of 4 hours I am OK with the service provided. However, I felt that they are giving this deal to generate more business. and chnging of flushing was not necessary. Anyway I was happy with Brian and hence I am giving A other wise I would have given B."

"Project: Hire a Handyman
The sliding glass door of our rental property was completely shattered which left our home completely unsecured. I contacted Mr. Hoskins and requested emergency repair service, especially since I was out of town.  Mr. Hoskins gave me an estimated time of arrival and once there he assessed the damage and approximate repair costs.   Mr. Hoskins even drove to the local Home Depot to pick up repair materials.  Once the work was completed, the estimated costs were a bit higher than I thought we agreed, however, Mr. Hoskins didn't hesitate to adjust the total repair costs to something much more manageable. I must admit I was ready to simply pay the original bill due, write a disgruntled review, and never call him again. Pleasantly, Mr. Hoskins was very professional and accommodating with resolving my dispute that I not only keep his number handy for future projects, but have referred some of my friends as well.
Thanks!  for a job well done

FAQs for garage door opener installation and replacement projects in Lumberton, NC

A chain-drive opener costs less, but it’s louder and needs more upkeep. If your budget allows, a belt-drive model is often the smarter long-term buy, especially for an attached garage with a bedroom above where noise matters. The decision between a chain or belt opener comes down to your budget and needs, and your garage door opener installer can help you choose an option that best suits you.

Choosing the right horsepower for your garage door opener is crucial for safe and efficient performance. Your garage door’s design and material determine the required horsepower. A single-car garage demands a half horsepower rating, while a two-car garage requires a rating between three-fourths and 1.25 horsepower. Selecting the proper power level ensures optimum performance and durability over the life of the opener.

Plan on a quick garage door tune-up once or twice a year. Tighten the chain or belt, lubricate moving parts, test the safety sensors, and swap out weak batteries in the remotes or backup unit. A few dollars in lubricant and 30 minutes of work can fend off costly repairs, keep the door running smoothly, and help the opener hit its full life expectancy.
