"I received a text that Dan would be arriving 20 minutes before my scheduled window which was welcome news. He arrived at that time and was professional. He did wear a mask for anyone curious in these weird COVID times. 30 minutes later all of his tools were picked up and I had a working drain."

"Rob came out after me missing the appointment, he came back the same day. He found out we had an issue with our central air and something had blown, he replaced it and he was so kind to us and explained everything. Very prompt, nice, courteous, and very knowledgeable. If we ever have something wrong again, we will contact them. Thank you Angie's List, and Total Comfort Services."

"I am very, very pleased. Mitch worked with me to keep my cost down and allowed a number of choices for me to do so. The job was done very quickly and the team was a group of very polite and hardworking men who are very good at what they do. Mitch is thorough and when two of the paving stones cracked, he came back and personally reset the new ones. Mitch also provided me advise for how I can improve the path next year. I would not hesitate to hire him again and will recommend his crew to others."

"The technician was very professional and explained everything he was doing.  He had the part that was needed in his van and fixed the furnace.  Total time was about 1 hour for troubleshooting and repair. <br /> My only complaint is with the cost of the replacement part.  I have no problem with the $170 service fee for a Saturday but I was charged $185 for a pressure switch.  A quick look online and I found the same part number for approximately $50.  I paid because I wanted my furnace running again but it just seemed a bit of an excessive markup."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Luna Pier, MI

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
