Two days later, two employees came to my house and put a vapor barrier over the holes to direct any future water down into the drainage system. "Excellent all around experience!!!!!!!! After a series of storms and gradual water soaking our basement carpet several times, I finally called Waterproofing One in April, 2017 after seeing their ad several times on our St. Basil's church bulletin. I spoke initially with the owner-Joe who was helpful and he dispatched Dave Cook who came over within an hour. Dave Cook has been in this business and related utility engineering previously for over 30 years and really knows his stuff. Dave was extremely thorough, spending time in the basement, looking at some pictures I took of the damage and spent a considerable amount of time walking around the exterior of my property and reviewing the landscaping where most problems start. Dave wrote up a report of what work was needed including extending downspouts, recommending we have our contractor add a louvered door at the top of the steps for aeration (a great idea given no windows in basement) , waterproofing the well water closet walls, spraying impacted area for potential mold, and installing a new French drain and sump-pump system with battery backup. Gene and his crew then came over on May 17, 2018 and performed the construction and installation work and did a great job. Those guys worked extremely hard in what is inherently a muddy line of work and were very courteous, professional and left the basement very clean. Gene took extra time to show us exactly what they were doing as they drilled holes into the lower cinder block walls, laying of the perforated pipe and some of the damp mold on the wooded studs he extracted at the impacted area. We paid exactly what Dave originally quoted! Dave Cook came back checked on things and made some other recommendations including adding stones around the foundation outside and in holes to avoid soil erosion and soften the acceleration of rain water into the ground. Once the work was finished and our carpenter redid the walls and painting, We had subsequently refinished the basement with high end vapor/mold resistant padding from Mohawk and a quality polyester carpet. 15 months later and here we are on September 30, 2019 after 50+ rain storms since installation and NO WATER nor Mold issues in the basement!!! We are really enjoying our basement again thanks to WATERPROOFING ONE!!!! 5-STARS!!!!!!!!"

They all three were very polite and professional. Mike explained everything they were doing and answered all of my questions. They worked really hard installing supports and sistering joists as well as putting down a vapor barrier. Mike stayed in the house and made sure things were going back to level while Chris and Brady made adjustments underneath the house. they cleaned up when they were done, and they cleaned up their workspace so well that you couldn't tell they were even there. We also have peace of mind knowing that we have a service plan with them so that if something goes wrong, AFS will be there for us. Definitely check AFS out for all of your foundation needs. I'm glad we did!!"

"This company did a first class job solving a basement foundation water infiltration problem in our commercial office building in Upper Bucks County, PA. A project manager came out to assess our situation; he came up with a proposed solution on the spot, provided us with a written proposal and sample photos of other similar work they had done. The work required excavating a small portion of the foundation on the exterior and filling a crack in the foundation wall down to the footers. The crew came out as scheduled and completed the job in a single day as predicted. Some follow up tweaks were needed, and I'm happy to say that the customer service team and follow up crew responded promptly and made some necessary adjustments to button up the job as promised. This is a first class operation and I do not hesitate to recommend this outfit to other colleagues and property owners needing this service."

"I have hired Quality 1st Basement Systems twice now and have been thrilled by their professionalism and work. The crew lead both times was Wilbur and the system design specialist was Mike Fiorillo. What I particularly appreciated about the sales process was how Mike worked with me to balance cost and efficacy. Regardless of what you decide to do, I would recommend at least getting a bid from Quality 1st. Additionally, on the day of installation, Mike arrived to help communicate the plan with Wilbur (crew lead) because of the complex nature of my foundational repair. Note: in between the 1st and 2nd job I had a structural engineer review my home and he specifically commented that he approved of the work done by Wilbur and his crew at Quality 1st. He noted that all other work previously done by the former home owners had serious flaws."

"PRO: For installing an interior French drain, while it was pouring outside, the crew was extremely clean. Both my yard and interior of my house was left with only minor evidence of the work. PRO: The initial consultation with Phil Thistle was informative and provided me with piece of mind in terms of the project and projected outcome. It seemed as though we would have support throughout the project. PRO: Owen Dan Kelly is very dedicated to the quality of his company and the work they do. Once he found out about some of the concerns I had with the project, he remedied them immediately. I was very impressed with the attention he provides his customers. CON: Communication. Up to the install, I was in constant contact with the company about timing and expectations. However, as soon as the install began and then directly after, I was on my own. There seemed to be no one overseeing the install, just the crew doing the work. Also, there were miscommunications about the project throughout the install; the crew was asking me for direction on installation steps I have no background on. CON: Support. Again, as soon as the install was complete, that was it. Phil showed me images of pictures he took with satisfied customers on past installs, making me feel that he was dedicated to the project's success. However, after the consultation, even though he was copied on various emails about some of my concerns, he never got back in touch. In addition, no one ever contacted me to see if I had questions about the finished product, to see how everything turned out, or if there was anything else I needed. CON: Timing. The crew was on-time for the install both days, however, the schedule was more impactful to my routine than expected. The crew worked 9AM - 3PM only on Day 1. However, to finish in 2 days, they worked 8:30AM - 7:30PM on Day 2. As I have a small child, having construction still happening after 7:30PM was difficult, but more so was confusing as Day 1 ended so early."

"We were having our basement insulated. The workers informed us that the sill plate on one side of a large crawl space, as well as portions of at least three joists, were rotted and needed replacing before they finished their job. We called Foundation Experts and Nick Jones came out the next day to give us an estimate. We accepted it, and the job was done the next week. As far as we can tell, the work was done properly as well as neatly and promptly. The workers were pleasant to deal with and did a few other small jobs they noticed at no additional charge.

"Mr. John O. arrived on time and alerted me prior to his coming by phone. John went around the basement and inspected the walls and windows for moisture penetration, and signs of deterioration. He listened to my concerns and wrote a report and recommended an indoor french drain installation based on his professional judgment of the situation.
I received the report with a schematic of my basement and his assessment as a pdf on email. He included a detailed estimate for the work proposed.
I feel that I got a report and an hour of evaluation for $49 and it is fair.
