"Our floor company had removed the existing original carpeted floor in our master bath to discover damaged subfloor surrounding the toilet area which needed replaced before they could complete the new tile floor. Because of our past experiences with J & M, we called James who was able to squeeze us in the next working day.  After James and an assistant gutted and replaced the damaged area of subfloor, James didn't feel comfortable billing us for the eventual amount of work so I told him to think about it and email us a bill.

Well he thought about it and said if we didn't mind dropping off a battery charger they'd forgotten to their nearby office, we'd be all square - no bill!  Ordinarily, you'd be able to push me over with a feather after such a turn of events but after having James complete 2 previous quality  building projects for us and getting to know him and his people, we weren't totally surprised.  A 'quality' contractor doesn't always translate to quality 'people' but in the case of J & M, it does.
We've got at least 2 more home projects planned for the not-too-distant future (which James knows about) and there's no one else we'd consider calling for either advice or estimates."

"He studied the problem we were having with our leaking roof and was able to figure out how to resolve the problem by building a saddle on the roof with beams, rafters, sheeting and metal roof, something no one else was ever able to fix. "The work was performed between Sept 16-19 2019. Darryl and his crew arrived promptly at 8:30 on Sept 16 as planned. They pressure washed the entire house during the first day and began prepping the exterior wood for painting. They scraped, sanded and caulked the wood. Darryl pointed out several areas of rotted wood in addition to the ones I knew about; he repaired all of them under the original estimate. We chose the paint colors from the Sherwin Williams selection samples. Prep work continued throughout the second day while part of the crew began painting. Painting, prep work and wood repair continued through the third day. The fourth day was only for the final (second) coat in the areas still needing it. The crew was very polite and cleaned up at the end of everyday. They stored their ladders and equipment in a tidy area away from the house everyday. They arrived around 8:30 and worked until 4:00. The paint job looks great! I will definitely hire them again. Thanks, Cliff"
