"The estimate was reasonable, the installation was completed in a day and per schedule, and the crew did an excellent job of cleaning up after the install. I am quite happy with the job, with only a minor issue with a couple of pieces of pressure treated lumber that were warped or visibly chipped. All in all a great experience."

"Kurt (Distinct Landscapes) performed an exception makeover to our property. We have owned our home for 20 years, with an eye on a landscape design to the house front - that pops. What we inherited were azaleas and christmas trees that continued to grow more expansive over the years. I provided Kurt with my budget and blessing to take the necessary design/purchase/installation steps necessary to dazzle. He did not disappoint! Kurt was a joy to work with, paying several visits to our property to discuss proposed layout and educate newcomers concerning the finer points of horticulture - in laymen's terms. He was extremely responsive to preferences and concerns and made several modifications of his own - before installation date. What a makeover - Korean Boxwoods, Dward Red Barberries, Goldmound Spireas, Nandina Domestica, Chery Laurels Knockout Roses, A Purple Crape Myrtle and Dragon Lady Holly species ... to name a few. Kurt did not overcrowd the design, but allowed sufficient spacing for future growth ... definitely planning for the longer range investment. With his selection, he also ensured more diverse colors over a greater portion of the calendar year. We're now the proud owners of a unique landscape that complements the house color/style much better. "We have used Freestate to periodically trim our trees and always found Ben (owner) to be professional and more than fair in his pricing. When the heavy winds came through Friday a large tree split and a huge brach (more like a small tree - see photo) crashed down on our neighbor's roof, puncturing it. Our neighbor didn't know who to call so I called Ben. He happened to be in our neighborhood dealing with another downed tree and said he'd come over that night; and he did. The crew off-loaded some heavy machinery and promised to be back in the morning. Promise kept. By end of that day (Saturday) the branch was off the roof, the the split tree (a 70 footer) was down and the crew temporarily patched the neighbor's roof. While they were here I asked Ben to take down two other white pines that are notorious for shallow roots and fragile limbs. He did so at a great price. The neighbors and I are extremely satisfied. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!"
