"They had been out like ten days before, and the issue expanded. I paid eight hundred dollars two weeks before, did not get me anywhere with the five thousand dollar repair. Just disappointed that the inspection and work which was done within an month prior, did not capture the problem. It ended up being so expensive for that visit."

"Mike was out of town this day. James did a fantastic job. The pipe he put down was what he determined to be safest for the job situation. ALSO!!!! He found several gas leaks in my line (in the basement) that were dangerous and took the time to repair them so my whole family didn't blow up! He did an awesome job. He later called and explained all this to me. Mike and James are COMPLETELY trustworthy. They come and go in my house when I am at work. They are very professional and have tons of experience. They have been at this so long, they can just walk in, solve the problem and get the job done. With these guys, you don't have to pay for wasted time trying to figure out what the problem is and trying several ways to fix it. They are also VERY funny! I even give them an A+ for humor!"

"Wonderfully done work from very stand up guys. The crew is personable and works quickly. Everything that was needed was done and comes at a good cost. We are very happy with the results and would recommend anyone needing any excavation work to go with Brian. All piping looks great, and they did a lot of work in the time that they were here."

"These guys really knew what they were talking about. I am actually now an employee of the company, so i have seen both sides of this counter and signed up to angies list partially to see what others had to say about the company, in the thinking that Angies List was as informative as the commercials said. But hopefully my opinion will spark some intelligent feedback.     -Daryl,         Newest Member Of The Apple Hill Family"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Mansfield, PA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
