"Total repair cost was $476.35, of which $140.00 was to repair the copper pipe, the work went well. Don't understand how the copper pipe repair could be so expensive. Good work, but very expensive. There should be another alternative to yes and no, ie: not sure."

"There was a pipe that had been broken. The man was able to locate the specific area on the property that was leaking and repair it then. EVERY ONE was wonderful to deal with. I will now give them all our business as we have rentals. Highly reccomend this company."

"They are honest and reliable. If I have a problem with my car and call them; they will fix it and possibly get my car back on the road quickly. They really understand what our needs are. When we talk to them, we can absolutely trust them on what they say. They never try to over sale anything. I would use their service in the future."

"They were excellent. We knew them because our daughters played basketball together. They were competent. I think they tried to do the right thing and they weren’t trying to sell me anything that I didn’t need. They came up with good solutions. I hadn't thought about rerouting the pipes through the ceiling and it was a good way to go. He explained to me that somebody had violated code because there weren’t supposed to be any fittings in the concrete and it was supposed to be one continuous piece of copper. They did well by me."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Manton, CA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
