"The salesman Bob Z was wonderful. Once they had some of my money, things changed. They tried to bypass building permits. The phone call said, we can move the project up three weeks by skipping the building permits. I said no to this. They did comply to my wishes. Two permits were taken out, county and township. However, it took over 5 weeks to get the needed permits. Once demolition and construction began (two months after contract and initial payment), things moved forward slowly. Inspections were not done when they should have been and when building was completed items had to be removed for inspections and then reinstalled. Good business?"

"The entire process was excellent.  Doug Lippitt, the sales rep, provided a complete description of how Stanek Windows are made.  He exhibited the effect of several levels of insulation in the windows with a heat lamp.  
After the sale, Doug was very attentive to assure the delivery and installation was done on schedule.  The installation process went very well.  The installers arrived, removed the old windows and installed the new windows.  The old (original) windows had hardware that I wanted to keep.  The installers removed all the hardware for me.
The transom windows were replaced during a renovation project.  Because of the tight timing, Doug Lippett worked very hard to have the windows delivered and installed on schedule.  This took a lot of his time to ask the factory to speed up the window building process.
Other contractors have noticed the doors installed by Stanek.  I have gotten a few comments about how well the doors were installed, and, door installation is not an easy thing to do - especially in an old house.

"Bobs crew were the best Ive ever encountered in any contractor service. I had a very difficult house with a lot of details that i wanted to preserve. Recessed overhangs, triangular supports, drip edge and so on. I told Bob that I wanted these all preserved when he did the bid. I was waiting for sticker shock when the quote came in and was completely surprised when his price was LOWER than everyone else who wanted to simply tear off my details or box them in.

Dave, his crew chief is a rare find in the industry. He understood what I wanted and creatively problem solved some tricky issues that arose, rather than simply taking the path of least resistance to get the job done as quickly as possible. He went above and beyond suggesting, and subsequently building some much fancier post caps than even I had imagined. He really took pride in his work and wanted it to look as good as I did. All the crew were courteous, polite, efficient and meticulously clean. They did a thorough nail-check of my driveway every night and the following Spring after the job was done, I found maybe 5 material scraps in the flower beds. I expected 10 times that amount.
