I followed up with another order for the remaining 13 windows in my porch and again, they arrived quickly, were of great quality, exactly to size and easy to fit. "esInitially it started out well but as is typical in this industry, things start to fall off.  He is able to do most phases of construction but prefers trimwork.  The scope of work that we had didn't fit where he wanted to be.  If it was a single job that he was being hired for, I think he would be good.  He did good work but we do a lot of custom stuff and that throws our subs off sometimes.  Super nice guy and I felt that he was trustworthy. <br />"

"Gary showed up when he said he would and worked very hard each day until the job was finished as quoted. All scrap material was taken away each day and site was left cleaner than when he arrived.  This house was a Victorian built in 1929 and he built the porch as if it looked when built and we could not be more pleased.  Work was outstanding and we recommend him to everyone who ask who did the work. <br />"

"We bought a 1920s house that needed a new kitchen. Mike gave us a very detailed estimate and recommended a kitchen designer to help me design the project. We decided to add a doorway through an exterior brick wall to create a doorway into the adjoining sunroom instead of removing the wall between the kitchen and formal dining room. This maintained the original character of the house while still giving some "flow" into the former sunroom. The walls and floors of both rooms were taken down to the studs and the new foam insulation was sprayed inside the walls of the sunroom. A new exterior door was installed out to the back porch, The entire kitchen and sunroom were sheet rocked and new tile floors installed to both rooms. The kitchen was wired, plumbed for gas and water and beautiful kitchen cabinets and granite installed. One thing Mike Von Behren is particularly good at is replacing/restoring the molding, baseboards and door frames to match the original millwork in the house. The finished kitchen/family room is a beautiful addition to this older home and we have enjoyed it very much. Working with Mike was a pleasure-communication was great and he is very detailed and has a great team. I would definitely recommend Von Behren for any home building/remodeling projects where quality, attention to detail and excellent communication are important concerns. <br />"

"Our Ins co. informed us our roof needed to be replaced to keep our coverage from being dropped. They said it was wavy. I called and requested a few quotes, and we settled on the Dillman Brothers. They worked within the deadline that the Ins co. had set,  and did a good job. The lead onsite took time to answer questions and address concerns, and seemed interested in doing a good job, not just getting it done. So, after the job was complete the Ins co. still wasn't satisfied, but Larry Dillman spoke to our Ins agent and together they were able to put to rest any concerns that the Ins provider had."

"As far as their products for roofing they seem great quality. However super overpriced. To the point they can come down 15k+ in their estimate. However not why I give them a horrible review. We wanted a quote for a metal roof- not a FIVE hour meeting and presentation. No indication of this length of time was given when making the appointment. Insisted on both spouses present meaning we had to basically let our kids watch tv the whole time and feed them a bunch of snacks bc I couldn't leave to even make lunch without them stopping their talks. Pushy. Did not need or want a power point presentation comparing their company and prices to others (which by the way they inflated to double what it's costing us). So nope would not use them. In this age of three young kids and little time they were a total waste of a day and would have very much appreciated a shorter meeting and perhaps an email or text vs showing up at our house again the following day with a better offer"

"While the work eventually performed was of good quality, getting it done was a hassle. I contracted with the company on June 21, 2013 to replace my gutters and storm door. At that time I was told that work would begin the following week. It didn't. <br /> I contacted the company on July 8, 2013 to ask when the work would be done. I was told it would be done the following week. It wasn't. <br /> On July 29, 2013 I contacted the company again. The manager was on vacation, but replied saying he would check on project status the following week. <br /> Finally, on August 20, 2013, installers arrived to replace the storm door. The work was well done and the installers were personable and professional. They asked me to inspect the work when they were finished, which met with my satisfaction. <br /> On August 23, 2013 a crew arrived to replace the gutters. I discussed the work with the lead installer before they began work. The crew took about four hours to do the work. However, when they were finished I as not asked to inspect the work. They simply left the premises. On my own inspection, I discovered that one downspout extension, which I had discussed with the lead installer, was not installed. The gutter replacement proper appeared to be well done. <br /> On August 26, 2013 I again contacted the JB&D manager to request that the discussed extension be installed. In a reply of August 27, 2013, the manager said the installers would return to install the extension. <br /> On September 19, 2013, a representative from JB&D arrived to install the extension. I was asked at that time to pay the remaining balance on the contract. <br /> In summary, to replace one storm door and the gutters on my house and garage took 3 months to accomplish. JB&D failed to keep me informed about the reason for the delay. My sense is that the company uses subcontractors exclusively over whom they have little control. I was told by one of the installers if my project had been larger (more expensive), the company would have given me a higher priority. <br /> While I am happy with the work performed, I am disappointed with the time it took to get done and the lack of customer service effort in communicating with me. <br />"
