After an unsuccessful attempt to snake the line from the outside access, it was suggested by another that the clog couldnâ t be cleared, pipe was â done,â and the solution was to reroute the pipe for about 12 K! I called GMC, hopeful they could clear the line. "My house was built in 1926 and the sewer pipes have not been changed in over 50 years.  Plotke Plumbing would come out every year and snake out the roots in the main line.  This year they had a hard time breaking through, so I decided to have the camera run down the length of the pipe.  Roots were entering the seams of the clay pipe.  Giovanni did the camera inspection, which I watched while the camera went down the line.  He gave me an estimate on using a combination of pipe bursting and reline. Only 2 holes were dug and no trenching. He indicated the job would take 3 days, and offered to start a few days later, since there was no backup or emergency.  I have used Plotke Plumbing on big and small jobs for many years. "We were having water leakage outside the shower door. The water formed only after the shower was running. Mifkis removed the shower valve and checked the water line and there was no evidence of any ldripping. At this point the only option was to break into the wall near the leak. Mifkis noticed that there were gaps in the grout inside the shower near the area where the leak was. So he patched those areas. We haven’t experienced any further problems. "Victor was amazing. I had a toilet overflow I needed someone to come out as soon as possible. I tried several plumbers throughout the day and no one could come. Finally I found Victor and he agreed to come out at 7 PM in the dark. By this time, I knew that the only access to the sewer was through the vent pipe on my flat roof. So he and his partner hauled what must have been a 70-100 lb piece of machinery up a ladder onto my roof in the dark. From there he snaked all the way down to the sewer and pulled out a bunch of roots, which cleared the line at least enough to flush the toilet. He then had to haul that massive thing down the ladder which was no easy task. They accidentally broke a part of a roof tile during this arduous process, but it wasn’t a huge deal. They then used an amazingly long camera to view the sewer line out more than 120 ft and graciously allowed me to take a video of the video for my understanding of the problem. They answered my million questions, let me get all up into what they were doing and were amazingly patient and helpful in educating me. With the camera and locator, they were able to determine that the weeds / clog / break in the line was only 7 feet from the toilet, which sadly was under the concrete slab foundation of the house. Fortunately, rather than digging through the floor and foundation, they offered another solution—to install a 2-way cleanout a few feet away from the house where the sewer pipe goes under the driveway and do the full drain cleaning from there. An excellent solution. Victor and his associate were both polite, understanding, accommodating, hardworking and, most importantly, trustworthy. Their prices are extremely reasonable and I would recommend them to anyone."
