"Really happy with estimate but it was a little hard to coordinate for initial visit. Everything we wanted done was included in the estimate and we were able to understand and see a few options for the work. Work started in a timely manner and progressed well throughout the project which ultimately took a little less time than estimated. Very happy with the quality of the work but a few elements took a few tries since we were renovating an existing garage, not building new. Only complaint with work was on the communication side where we expected more proactive regular updates from the main contact...it was hard for us to keep with the different subs and their schedules. Value was good and sequence of payments very reasonable (3 installments). Permits included."

"Mark and Billy came the next day after I called and not only replaced the small panel with a quality Lift Master unit, but they also troubleshooted and corrected the way the garage door opened. They detected a rattle as the door opened and readjusted the spring tension etc... They also advised me where and how to properly oil all the hinges and the main center spring 4 times a year. I am very pleased with them and their work. The price was also very reasonable."

"Garage door has been extremely noisy and not opening the garage door in cold weather. Now works like a charm! The work was done quickly, professionally and efficiently. They were not prompt in arrival - were 30 minutes later than last projected time in a 2 hour window, so I missed an extra 2 hours of work waiting around for no reason. And they were going to charge me more than twice as much as the "Angi price with coupon" so I had to be persistent about the charge. Everything else other than those two issues was great. I am satisfied with the result."

"Due to the ice and snow, my awning fell down. Custom Builders came the same day they were called to give an estimate. After the estimate was approved by the insurance company, Custom Builders removed all of the previous awning. They set a day and time to come to build the new awning and stayed on that schedule. The new awning looks great, Custom Builders did a wonderful job to exactly what was agreed to."

"Realistically, it's hard to imagine that a project this size could have gone any better than it did. I've got a close friend who has a PhD in Civil Engineering, and he commented that the garage looks like it's been part of the house all along. <br /> <br /> The project took slightly longer than expected, but that was mostly due to weather early in the effort. The price was higher than we anticipated, but I don't think it was higher than it should have been. I ran the numbers by the aforementioned engineer, an experienced architect, and another (out of the area) builder; and they all confirmed that building projects are expensive these days. The quality of the result is absolutely worth it. <br /> <br /> All of the subcontractors were professional, courteous, patient with our questions, and detail-oriented. Aaron Beacom was absolutely professional, even as I emailed or texted him multiple times per week with questions and issues. Aaron was patient with us as we had to regroup on flooring (not available in as timely a fashion as we needed it) and with our indecision over a few issues. When it came time to settle up at the last draw, Aaron was equally complete with credits as he was with additional expenses. <br /> There were a few minor issues, as any of us would expect. In retrospect, I think a final set of plans with review before digging began might have helped. <br /> <br /> Nevertheless, I highly recommend Beacom. They will be the first folks we call if we have any remodeling projects in the future."

"They gave me a proposal based on my description  and pricing the first person that came out was totally unable to do the work that I had out lined, he was extremely hesitant to provide any knowledge of going forward of even the most routine like putting  the tiles. I called the owner and the owner came out and basically did an okay job. My experience was very average at best. They took a lot longer and it scared me how he was going to fix the garage door and the tiles."
