Michael & Son is family owned & operated and has been servicing the Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC area for over 30 years. We take great pride in providing our customers with the highest quality plumbing services. Our professional and courteous staff are here to help you with whatever projects you need to get done.

"The initial installation was done professionally. Unfortunately after three months the system failed. From Friday to Tuesday I was without hot water and heat and the temperature in my house went down to the 40s. It took five visits to fix the issue. The manufacturer advised that the solution called for disabling something in the system to keep that part from failing. I am worried that the system is not safe. I will be contacting the DC Consumer and Regulatory Affairs as I have no faith in the quality of this system. This company installed a furnace and hot water heater system in November. Three months later I discovered water leaking from the system; there was water all over the floor. A tech came out on a Wednesday but was unable to make the repair. The tech shut off the valve and had me turn off the system. He returned the next day and stopped the leak. Due to warmer than normal temps I didn’t realize the heat was not working and by Saturday morning the temperature in my house was in the 40s. A tech came out for the third time on Saturday but wasn’t able to fix it. I would have to wait until Monday. The tech returned for the forth time, was here for about an hour. I found out later a part needed to be ordered but would not be available until Tuesday. The tech made a repair and said he disabled a part, per the manufacturer, so the system wouldn’t fail again. I don’t have any confidence that this system is safe or fixed so it won’t break down again. I began calling customer service on Saturday when it was clear that the system couldn’t be fixed. I asked for a replacement of my system. Unfortunately the people who could help were not available on the weekend. I waited until 8 on Monday and still had not received a called. At this point I was quite angry. I finally received a call back and I vehemently expressed that I wanted a replacement system. I was told it didn’t work that way and he wasn’t in the mood to be yelled at and hung up."

We’re Jim and Mike Allen, brothers and co-owners of TermiGuard Services and Fenwick Building & Renovation. With our 50+ years of combined experience, we can promise you that you're in good hands. One of the biggest challenges we face as homeowners is finding the right contractor to deal with issues which arise – one who has the requisite knowledge, skills, and experience. A contractor who will answer your calls and then do what they say they’d do, when they said they would. A contractor you can trust, and who will actually give you a no-nonsense warranty on his/her work. We’ve built TermiGuard Services & Fenwick to be effectively different from the rest – embracing and living the principles and values we grew up with – treating people the way we’d want to be treated. And frankly, we’re tired of how so many other companies treat customer service as unimportant and how they take customers for granted. As consumers ourselves, we’ve felt the pain from the evident lack of caring and regard for the concept of old-fashioned, customer-centered service. To that end, we offer you a family of home services including, real estate repairs, pest, termite & wildlife control, water intrusion inspections, mold treatment, waterproofing, structural & foundation repairs, property & water damage restoration, and crawl space encapsulation services – to name just a few… Bottom line – we’re first aid for your home or building, and we’re dedicated to providing you healthier living…

"Very dissatisfied with my service and lack of professionalism. Will not be recommending or reusing this company again."

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Marmora, NJ

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
