Customers say: Quality work

"UPDATE- after posting a review on Angi I was contacted and Ryan did come and move plumbing at no charge. Very polite.Original post - Very responsive to put a bid in. Came and did the job. Did not place plumbing in the desired location. When brought to his attention. Said it would be fine. After vanity arrived and plumbing was obviously not fine. Contacted Ryan through text. He said he stop In that Friday to move to plumb. Ryan no-showed. Contacted again through text. Again he said that Friday. And again he no-showed. Now after multiple texts, he does not reply. I paid him top dollar for a half days work. And am very dissatisfied with his customer relations."

"Where to start? * FIRST OF ALL, I want to point out the only good review of them on Yelp is by A CURRENT EMPLOYEE! He even states it at the end of his review. That's right they have a CURRENT EMPLOYEE PUTTING UP GOOD REVIEWS FOR THEM. That should give you and idea of who they are! I hired Bay Area Services Heating & Cooling to put in new HVAC including Ductwork. 1. They DIDN'T DO IT TO CODE so It DIDN"T PASS INSPECTION and so they TRIED TO GET ME TO PAY MORE TO GET IT TO PASS INSPECTION. When I told Jack B about it he tried saying I instructed to do it that way. First of all, I don't do HVAC which is why I hired them in the first place. It's not my job to know or make sure it's to code it's theirs! Plus, the first item that didn't pass, they decided. I will update this in the near future and add emails, details and pictures but that's a pretty big one! The best part of his response is his claim that I instructed him to go against code?!# What? Really, so a) he means to tell me if I tell him to do something against code he will? Had I known that I would've chosen something better than locating the AC in the wrong spot...seriously. b) If he knew what he was doing or what the workers were doing he would know it wasn't going to pass and wouldn't have told them not to put it there. This guys responses are so ridiculous. Instead HE TRIED TO MAKE MONEY ON THEIR MISTAKE! 2. Absolutely every step of the process was a nightmare. They cut 2 holes in my hardware floors in the upstairs bedroom where you can see down through to the living room and left them their without anything. Not even a vent cover. When I asked about them Jack B tried saying it was because of layout due to a chimney. Not true! I asked them if they could get started on things that needed to be done regardless of whether the chimney had work on it or not and he said they could. They just screwed up and left it there. 3. When I did the walk through with one of their guys, I pointed out that a few things before we even get to the city inspection: First of all, There was a huge 2 inch gap around a pipe in the basement wall where they ran a line to the AC unit. So, kind of defeats the purpose of HVAC if the outside air is flowing freely into the house, not to mention all the bugs and whatever else. I pointed that out and was told it would be taken care of. Even after pointing it out, they put a little puddy in the hole but when I checked it again it still had a gap. Second, there were gaps in the ductwork. This is brand new ductwork, it shouldn't have gaps in it! I will say at least that guy then went through and taped a few gaps up but they shouldn't be there to begin with. 4. This was new ductwork so they tore some things out and JUST LEFT ALL THE DEMO, WOOD, PLASTER, GARBAGE ETC in a big, big pile. When I asked about it Jack B said they weren't going to clean it up. Every thing they did was to ensure they did the least work. Jack B is so unethical it creeps me out. The work done, the process and the response to all the issues is just a nightmare. I will probably have more when I update with pictures."

"My transmission failed and I took it to a dealer (first mistake) which <br /> wanted to charge me almost $5000 to have it repaired. Found SDR on <br /> Angie's list and figured I would give it a shot.... They towed my truck <br /> from the dealer to their shop within an hour about having it inspected <br /> by the dealer, repaired within 3 days and had it ready to go so that I <br /> could travel out of town the following weekend. My truck hasn't had any <br /> problems, has a warranty on the transmission, the people were helpful, <br /> straight forward, respectful and willing to help quickly. Also charged <br /> me a fair price - very happy with the service and the company. I would <br /> recommend SDR to my friends and family for future repairs! <br />"

"The original owner retired.  The new owner is Kurt Wendt; but they have the same employees.  We are having some other remodeling done in the house and they found a problem with our furnace, which we had also asked them to check it.  They are coming in again to put a new furnace.  They are very dependable and very courteous.  They are efficient.  When we called them with a problem just recently with the unit they had installed, they came right back and repaired it immediately.  The price was very fair."

"The entire process went very well. The estimators were friendly and VERY prompt with their estimate. The installers were knowledgeable, prompt, courteous, efficient, and cleaned up after themselves (a BIG plus!) The price quoted was the price paid. There were no hidden costs. <br /> The AC unit is soooooo quiet compared to the relic we replaced. Looking forward to the lower energy bills and the serene sound. <br />"

"Jessie was awesome! Best plumber i have ever used! He was waiting for me when I arrived at the house and within an hour had fixed every issue in the house including a low pressure and leaking shower head, the hot water side of the bathroom faucet, he took apart and rebuilt the kitchen facet and cleaned out all of which increased hot water and water pressure immensely! He also replaced the old ends of the laundry lines so they worked properly. All of that in an hour and at 1/10th the price of another plumber who wanted to replace the water lines! He even helped me get a gas fireplace up and running! After years of investing in real estate i have never found a plumber who was as nice, professional, efficient and reasonably priced as Jesse. 5+ stars!!! <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Marshfield, WI

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
