"I explained to Mark the error codes flashing on my Samsung refrigerator/freezer. He asked some questions and had me try holding down a combination of display functions. The simultaneous pressing of fridge and freezer worked perfectly. The flashing error codes went away! Mark was so thoughtful and thorough as we discussed pros and cons of replacing the ice maker. Because of the age of the fridge and the unreliability of that Samsung ice maker, the answer was “No”. All of the help on the phone was free of charge since I didn’t need a service call. I will call Mark immediately if I have any need for tv, washer/dryer, or any other appliance problem. Mark was “old school” courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. I am happy to have found him through Angi."

"Saturday morning our dryer lost all its heat. So I posted the job on Angi's list that same morning, figuring we wouldn't get anybody till Monday at the earliest. Five minutes after posting the job, I get a call from Rick from City Appliance Repairs saying he could come out in the afternoon to work on the dryer. He shows up around 5 p.m. and in about 25 minutes our dryer was working like the day we bought it. VERY reasonable charge, with NO upcharge for a weekend visit. I recommend Rick to everybody."

Hi! I am a chemical engineer specializing in industrial utilities by trade who enjoys fixing and building things in my free time. I offer services such as furniture building, home appliance repairs (ovens, refrigerators, freezers, dishwasher, garbage disposal, washer/dryer, water heater, A/C, furnace, sump pump, etc) small scale plumbing or drainage projects/repairs (exterior storm water drainage, pvc/copper piping- I do not do cast iron, faucets, etc). I can install new appliances, but might need help lifting and setting the appliance (I do not dispose of old appliances). I also can repair kitchen stand mixers such as Kitchen aids (rebuild/regrease).
