"They damaged my oil tank and the owner LANCE refused to even speak to me on the phone about it. Claimed no responsibility and would not let his remotes give me his number to discuss."

"He did a very professional job. His pricing was extremely affordable and fair. He did not try to price gouge me. I took some of his business cards & I will refer him to others. I intend to hire him for a few more projects."

"The repair to my leaking toilet was fixed well enough, after telling me my relatively new toilet water shutoff valve was broken and would need to be replaced for an extra $100. Foolishly, I did not verify this for myself. Afterward, when I was summoned to inspect the repaired toilet, I was told my toilet tank float valve that shuts off the water inside the toilet tank once it fills was broken, and that it would cost me another $50 to fix. It was NOT broken prior to his arrival. He left and said he'd contact me later that evening to arrange for a return visit to fix it. In the meantime, I found the top cap loose and tightened it. Then flushed the toilet 4 times, each time observing that the float worked as designed and the water that fills the tank shut off properly at the designated level. It has worked great ever since. He did not contact me later that night but the next day, when I told him I fixed my own shut-off valve for free, and would not need his services."

"I called my fuel company to schedule an annual furnace tune up and was asked if my chimney was cleaned recently. It wasn't so Petro highly recommended calling Guaranteed Home Improvement. I did and spoke with Mark who made an appointment for a service call. Justin arrived promptly and did a thorough inspection of the exterior and interior of the chimney. He provided photos that were helpful as he described the damage in the flue and cautioned about the possibility of carbon monoxide building up inside the chimney. He was very knowledgeable, clear and concise as he explained that inserting a liner would divert smoke and heat from corroding the clay tiles filtering into the house. The photos of missing and disintegrated tiles at the base of the flue were enough proof for me. Justin answered my questions about the work, when it could be done, how long it would take, the cost, etc. The decision to go forward was a no brainer for me and as I was comfortable with Justin's responses and he arranged for a crew to come over within the hour. Charles and Taj arrived soon after and immediately began installing the liner in the chimney. They were professional, courteous, worked well together, and completed the work in a short period of time. Eric contacted me later to find out if everything was okay and I said I was completely satisfied. The entire process from the initial call through the follow up conversation from Eric was handled very well. In fact, everyone I interacted with at Guaranteed Home Improvement was friendly, professional, and fine examples of good customer service. The unsung heroes were the receptionists who redirected my calls. I am very thankful for the fine repair work and the peace of mind that came with it. I enthusiastically recommend anyone in need of their services to give them a call. Marvin"

FAQs for sewer main install, replace or repair projects in Massapequa, NY

When installing a sewer line, you should consider extra costs like tree removal, driveway repairs, or patio resurfacing. Hiring a professional plumber is essential, and you may need additional specialists if landscaping or heavy excavation is involved. Addressing these potential extras up front helps ensure accurate budgeting and prevents sudden cost overruns.

To calculate the length of sewer piping you need, measure the distance from your house to the main sewer line, adding the depth of the city main to this distance. Be sure to account for any obstacles like tree roots or utility lines that may require additional piping.

City sewer lines are installed at a lower elevation to prevent unwanted backflow and water damage. This lower positioning ensures enhanced performance and long-term safety, meeting all technical and safety standards.

With trenchless methods, a plumber inserts a smaller pipe within the existing plumbing, avoiding full excavation. It can be more cost-effective and less disruptive than traditional methods, but it's not suitable for all homes.

Yes, you must secure permission from your local water authority before connecting to a public sewer line. This approval ensures your connection meets all regulatory requirements.

Sewer lines are buried between 18 inches and 8 feet deep, with most systems placed between 18 and 30 inches. In colder regions, pipes are set deeper to remain below the frost line.
