"The plumbers that came to the house to give an estimate and the men that came to move pipes and close off existing ones, were professional, polite, informative and answered all the questions I had before during and after the job was completed. They cleaned up and we're tolerable of the small space they had to work in at the house."

"It went Perfectly. Matt is a real professional. All systems are thoroughly checked and filters replaced. He let us know the condition of the air conditioners and suggested any further work that needed. However, he only suggested and did not pressure us to do anything immediately. He is a great representative of Clays Climate Control."

"Called ASAP. Service was scheduled very quickly. Technician showed up on time and was ver y courteous. Very professional and quick work. One guy serviced the gas furnace while another worked on broken pipes. I could not be happier with their service."

"The short of it?.If you are looking for the best plumbing, <br /> heating, and air conditioning company, call McBride & Company, Inc., of <br /> Somers Point, New Jersey. There is no need call anyone else, because you will <br /> want Tim McBride and his men to do your work. There is no need to read any <br /> more. <br /> The long of it?Mr. McBride is a good person and very easy to <br /> work with. He is very knowledgeable in all aspects of plumbing, heating and air <br /> conditioning. The work he personally did and the work of his men is excellent, and <br /> his prices are right. <br /> Mr. McBride was willing to take on a very difficult home <br /> heating job after our heating system failed this past winter. We interviewed 4 ?reputable <br /> plumbers? in our area in the early spring of 2013. All four of them went <br /> through the house and then strung us along for 2-3 months with no intention of <br /> ever doing the work. One never got back to us despite our phone calls; one said <br /> he was ready to start the job, but failed to show up; one (who put in our 3 new <br /> central air conditioning units excellently last year) finally admitted that he <br /> lacked the manpower to do the job, that it was an autumn job, and that we <br /> should change our heating system altogether, and one never got back to us when <br /> he arrived at our house at the same time Mr. McBride arrived. <br /> We had freeze damage to 11 radiators that had to be replaced <br /> and 3 or 4 ceiling pipes that required cutting into plaster ceilings. He also <br /> replaced our very old boiler and water heater with the highest quality modern products. <br /> The work has been difficult, heavy, and messy. Mr. McBride and his men do their <br /> work carefully and efficiently. They willingly answered all of our questions <br /> accurately and did extra work without a complaint. There were many pleasant <br /> surprises. <br /> Jennifer, the lady at the office is very pleasant and <br /> knowledgeable. She is a pleasure to talk to and to email. They have all made <br /> this devastating damage to our heating system much less stressful. In the end, <br /> it will be much better than before, by turning a disaster into a home <br /> improvement. <br /> Over the past 30 years, I?ve required work from several <br /> companies for 2 old houses. Bottom line?McBride & Company is the best. <br /> My wife, a long term subscriber to Angie?s list, found Mr. <br /> McBride there and called him when she saw his superb ratings. <br /> John Barton, M.D. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"I woke up to the sound of sewage overflowing in my basement. My usual plumber wasn't available and I was panicking, so I just started calling around. Best Choice was the only company who picked up the phone. They said they'd be able to get someone out to me within 2 hours, which they did, and they gave me a call when the plumber was on his way. He looked around my basement and answered all my questions, but he couldn't deal with the clog himself. The price to clear the line was $350 flat. They sent a second round of guys out who showed up on time and it was an easy fix. There were no tree roots or broken pipes - apparently it was a and quot;softand quot; clog. I'm grateful that they were able to come out as quickly as they did, but $350 for what ultimately was an uncomplicated cleaning seems like a lot, but I've also never had to pay for this service before so what do I know. If I was paying an emergency fee, they didn't tell me I was. <br /> <br /> The plumbers who came out could've been a bit more professional. They wanted to just barrel in and seemed surprised that I wanted to shake hands and exchange names. The first one who came to assess the problem spoke to the secretary on the phone in front of me, repeating how much the fee was (seemed fishy) and that he just wanted to get paid and go home. He told me later that he doesn't like to deal with clogs, just basic tasks like changing faucets. Maybe he was contracted out?"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Mays Landing, NJ

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
