"We had sinking concrete both in our sidewalk and driveway panel next to the garage apron. We hired Baird to do the repairs, including also sealing all of the driveway expansion joints. The results of this job exceeded our expectations and couldn't have asked for anything better. The team was very personable, professional and were happy to explain and demonstrate every step of the way. Highly recommend Baird."

"Great experience with a very professional crew. The work of fixing my front sidewalk and driveway was completed quickly, on time, and looks great now! Thanks to Jackie and Ryan, who did the repair work. They were friendly, efficient, and quickly completed all the work needing to be done. They answered all my questions. I would go to Baird Foundation Repair without hesitation for any future foundation or concrete work, if the need develops. I'll be recommending Baird to all of my neighbors and friends. Oh, and the cost of the work being done actually came in a little under what I was expecting, which was a very nice surprise!"

"The floors have actually begun to slope worse since they have been working.  Since I cannot get under the house myself, I don't know if they have actually done the work they said they would, or if they don't know how to solve the problem, or if they won't take the time to do the work properly.  I have spent a considerable amount and have called them back for adjustments several times.  Now I have many more high and low areas in the floors than before they started.  The backyard is getting very unlevel where they have been digging.  I am very concerned that when I try to sell the house, I will not get the full value, due to their failure to solve the problems. <br />"

"Excellent. We appreciate the Ram Jack patented American made steel piles that are eco-friendly and have been tested to meet international Code Council specifications and have earned the dependability of product and services to offer Lifetime Transferable Warranties for the properties they repair. Ram Jack can back their technological advancements because they have less than 1% of over 750,000 piles installed ever needing adjustment. The homeowner's insurance field adjuster arrived in time to hear about Ram Jack's technologies from Doug Williams (Foundation Specialist) and took a copy of the estimate to file with his claim report. Once we get the approval we should be ready to schedule the repair plan."

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Mcallen, TX

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
