Customers say: True professional

"I had Rob install a tankless hot water heater, whole house water filter, and run a new gas line for my gas stove conversion. He was very professional and and was quick to set an appointment. The whole job took a single day and he even removed and disposed of the old outdated appliances. Quality work at reasonable prices! Would highly recommend."

"Gage has been excellent to work with. We will hire him any time we need something in the future. The work site is always clean, the new install always looks tidy. He has installed a water filter, fixed several leaks in old plumbing, replaced hose bibs, worked on our booster and expansion tank, replaced fixtures. It's always great work."

"This is the second time we;ve used Kitchen Medix and both times we were amazed at his work and fair prices. <br /> We explained the problem over the phone. We had a 6' and 3' stove top grilles that were not holding temp when it got busy. <br /> He thought it sounded like a thermostat problem and said he had them in stock.I know from previous experience that commercial repairs to gas equiptment canbe costly. <br /> After working on the units  for about 45 minutes he came back to report his findings.A tiny speck of carbob was blocking the control on one of the units. And on the other unit, the thermostats had slipped out of their clamp and had dropped close to the flame, causing an incorrect reading anfd shutting down the flame.Cooks are so happy.....working perfectly. <br /> Total bill was $118.00......Beyond fair, but what impressed me most was the fact that he could easily have told me I needed expensive parts and I never would have known. Many techs will do that. <br /> Joe is totally honest, trustworthy, professional and he is an expert at commercial kitchen repair......not just gas but most anything except refrigeration. <br /> If there was a higher mark than "A",I'd give it to Joe at Kitchen Medix <br />"

"The Badger brothers fixed my sulphur-smelling water heater by replacing an anode and also added a condensate drainage pipe to our furnace. Their work was of high quality and they worked more quickly than I expected, finishing the job in just a couple hours. They had previously come to my house last year to look at some leaking pipes and were both efficient and fair about prices. I would definitely hire them again. <br />"

"Incredibly speedy response to Angie's List request for bids! They sent someone over the same day, two days before Christmas, and took care of my flooded basement by installing a new sump pump and new PVC piping. All staff were prompt and courteous. Definitely recommend."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Meredith, NH

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
