"I was extremely satisfied with the professional conduct of this job. I had carefully designed the structure of the shed. It was important that all the dimensions of the slab be met accurately and that the 6 posts be placed precisely and perfectly vertical. They were. Working with Jaime was very satisfying as we had numerous discussions about details as the job progressed. I provided some large salvage planks from the old shed that could be used to build forms, and he provided several significant suggestions to improve the end result. The slab was on a slight slope. He provided much deeper concrete on the downhill side to anchor the slab and resist underwash. He provided a large footer under each post before the main concrete pour, because the posts were going to carry the entire weight of the roof. I would not have thought to do that. This is the value of hiring an experienced contractor. The shed has been completed and the first delivery of sawdust has been made. The slabs stood up to the significant weight of the delivery truck as can be seen in my pictures."

"Hired Oscar to complete several tasks we did not have the time to do. Oscar was very professional, thorough, and delivered good workmanship on each task. He provided painting, light installation, deck sealing and repair, and mail post install, Oscar was personable and flexible to changes we made to the proposal. "The work was done well overall, but I had to remove some large concrete pieces from the sloping areas around the edges. The original diggers had buried these close to the surface, which would have made landscaping impossible. This was not Jerry's fault, as they did not follow his instructions to break these up, and add them to the substrate rock under the patio base. There were delays due to the very bad weather, out of his control, but the re-scheduling needs could have been communicated better, in my opinion."

"Steve Norfolk and his crew dug down to the footing and applied the waterproof material a section at a time.  The original plan was to dig the entire area first and then apply the waterproof material all at the same time.  However daily torrential rains turned the area into a sea of mud, so he decided to do it a section at a time to minimize problems associated with the rain.  He had to break up a concrete slab (porch) for 1/2 the front, and approximately 25 feet of driveway next to the house.  Progress was slow due to the rain and mud, but Steve steadfastly pursued the completion of the job despite the setbacks.  Although justifiably discouraged by the rain and lack of progress, he exhibited a positive "can do" attitude and kept at it.  The finished product was professionally done.  Backfill and all concrete were properly completed, and grass seed applied.  Steve is a conscientious professional who knows his business and can be relied upon to do the work he says he will accomplish.  I would use him again in a heartbeat.

I had kept a flyer from Mailbox Xpress for several years, knowing it would need it. I visited their website to see if the offerings were still valid and learned I could still get the box and post my HOA requires. I called Mr. Hughes to see if installation was included, and learned that it was. As a result I placed an order with him, one he promised to fill within one or two days, which was fine with me.

The following day he delivered and installed a high-quality post of painted seasoned wood without cracks and with all the joints caulked before painting, and set in concrete. He mounted a steel mailbox to replace the plastic box the unnamed prior vendor supplied ten years earlier, mounted the required house numbers on both sides, and touched up the paint. The box looks great!

Mr. Hughes was courteous, friendly, and easy to work with. And as work orders kept him more than busy and I was the last customer of the day, he did my installation at about 8PM, long after other would have gone home, but I still got an installation much better than both the two previous (one the builder's original, the second by my neighbor after her guest backed a car over it).
