"Mark C., the owner of the business, answered right away, and kept me informed about whether or not he would be able to make a service call that day or the next. He diagnosed the problem with the circuit board from my LG refrigerator on my kitchen counter, showing and explaining what he was doing. Then he called Gray's and ordered a replacement circuit board for next day delivery. He came back with the new board and fixed the refrigerator the next day. There is a 1 year warranty on the replacement board. If you are paying to repair an old, out of warranty appliance, as I was, you just need to understand that you are taking on the risk that there may be other problems when you write the check to pay for a replacement part. But that's the main risk. With Mark you are getting a professional with a great deal of experience who is going to do the best job with diagnosis and repair that he can do."

"This pro provided useful information via a virtual (online) video consultation. Since this service does not send technicians to the home, they did not do the actual work. I am considering whether to order parts and try to complete the repair myself or under their virtual direction."

"I can't recommend Brian and his company highly enough. He called me the same day I contacted him, came out as quickly as his schedule would allow, and the service was done in a very safe, professional, and efficient manner by him at a very reasonable cost. He has a truly pleasant demeanor, was courteous and kind during the whole process no matter the circumstances, and went out of his way to return to the house and help me with a stuck garage door. He even maintained his courteousness after I mistakenly locked him out of the basement. I would definitely hire him again for any of my appliance repairs or new appliance installations."

"They were very nice and professional. And did a great job with my oven installation in a timely manner."

"A repair man was at my house two hours after I placed the call. Excellent service! I was very happy with the repairs that were done. The price was reasonable."

"I have been using Joe Downey's service for the past 25 years to help me maintain both my own condo and several rentals.  He was also the building manager at the condominium for most of that time, so I am very familiar with the many types of tasks he is skilled at.  In this case I was finishing the complete renovation of an apartment and needed some final details related to plumbing and lighting on a rush basis before a tenant was about to move in..  As usual Joe did an excellent job, and called me in the middle of it to ask how I wanted him to handle a few unexpected problems.

I have complete trust in Joe and he has keys to my units so he can do repairs when I or my tenants are not at home.  He is always polite and professional and cleans up after the job.  If there is something he doesn't feel he can do well or requires a licensed specialist (plumbing, electrical, etc.) he knows who's good and will arrange for them to do the job and supervise them - including obtaining city work permits if required.

Based on many years and dozens of little jobs as well as big jobs (including complete kitchen renovations) I highly recommend Joe Downey's services."

"We put off doing this project for a long time because it was a major renovation and we were worried about making the right decisions.  We were fortunate to find Todd because his combination of experience and professionalism was exactly what we were hoping for.  Todd was great to work with!  He had good ideas, helped guide us to make kitchen design choices, and asked for our input on every aspect of the project. We could not be more pleased with our new kitchen!

"Jonesy lives in the next town and he happened  to have a little time free so he came right over an hour later.
I could not remove the blown bulb in the freezer. Frankly, I was a little embarrassed to call an appliance repair guy, but was glad I did.  He told me with newer refrigerators with electronic displays,  if the bulb breaks, it can short out the mother board and turn into a costly repair.  So I asked him to do it.
He had a tough time but was able to remove the bulb without breaking it.  While he was here, I had him clean the compressor and front grill.
He suggested that you always put a little Vaseline on the threads of the bulb to prevent this problem in the future. Clearly, the original bulb had been over tightened and, as I saw on line, is not an uncommon problem.
He was very personable and offers a $10 discount to Angie's List members.  I will definitely use him again.

"Working with Sara at the Kitchen Center was fantastic.  I was nervous about the cost of a new kitchen and overwhelmed with the details of a new layout.  Sara was full of good ideas and she was so patient with me as we worked through planning my new kitchen.  I compared prices to the kitchen company who originally installed our old kitchen and the Kitchen Center prices were comparable.  I gave the price a B rating above only because it isn't cheap to redo a kitchen, but paying for quality cabinets is so worth it!  It took me a few weeks to make a final decision on what I wanted, but when I finally did, Sara made sure that the delivery and installation of the cabinets was on schedule and kept me up to date.  The installer was very professional.  He was a perfectionist and he did an amazing job.  Overall, we are thrilled with our new kitchen!  We love the Wood-Mode cabinets, the pull-out shelves, and some of the nice bells & whistles that are available with quality cabinets.  I would certainly recommend Kitchen Center to anyone who needs a new kitchen or bath and would like to work with a team of designers who are professional and knowledgeable.  "
