"I opened the door to the garage one day and there was light coming in the original 1959 wooden garage door and i realized it was bowing out and the header was slipping down. I talked to garage door companies and they were unwilling to touch it because it would require structural engineering to bring up to hurricane code. No handyman would touch it because it was too big of a job for them, and I talked to several general contractors who would either refer me to a structural engineer who couldn't seem to coordinate with anyone, or they weren't interested because it wasn't a big job. One contractor said he only did highrises. And then I talked to Lenny, and he wound up coordinating everything and everyone. The county inspections, the extra electrical work, the engineering, the concrete work and the rebar work, custom sizes, everything. Very happy!

"The work was fine when they finally got to it. They had me wait 5 weeks from the 'initial estimate' visit. That was three weeks more than was initially planned. And that was with a few calls to get them there or I don't know how long it would have been. Other than that the work was fine. D&D Aluminum is a great company. Carey Tarplay came to our  home to give an estimate. He suggested we visit his showroom, which we did. We were able to see all of the options to choose from, styles, colors, etc.  We wanted to replace our old sliding glass doors with French doors and Carey explained everything that needed to be done and helped us choose the proper layout for the side glass and French doors.  My husband and I had checked out a couple of competitors showrooms and I had fallen in love with a front door at one of them. D&D Aluminum didn't carry this line, but Carey said not to worry, he would be able to special order this door for us. This was above and beyond the service I expected.

The doors and windows were installed on time and perfect.  The Cooper City building inspector said it was a great job.

We are so happy with the workmanship that we now are using D&D Aluminum to add a screened in patio to the back of our house.
