"Excellent work as usual. We used D&D  before to replace all our windows and doors.  Next on the list was to make a screened in patio.  D&D did it all. They got the permits, enlarged the patio, poured the concrete and custom built the enclosure.  It is wonderful. The D&D team are so professional, friendly, and perfectionists. The building inspector also said that the work is always excellent when done by D&D.   We will always recommend D&D for windows, doors, and patio work.

"I had the pleasure of working with David to remodel my build up garage back to a garage. His hard work, attention to detail, and professionalism was refreshing to see in a contractor is South Florida and the pricing was more than fair. I have dealt with a lot of contractors in the past to mixed reviews but I am sure that I will we working with David and JGB in the future."

"Very helpful.  Not really an area that this company handles, but Lenny answered the call on the first call to him, and gave guidance on who to call for this type of smaller job.

"The whole TerraVenti Construction team was great to work with. They were honest, professional and dependable from the estimate to demolition to clean up.  They remodeled our master bath and kitchen. For the bathroom we redid our shower and two vanity tops. For the kitchen, we replaced our countertops, added backsplash, added an island, redid electrical for new appliances and lighting. We got what we wanted with no delay.

The price was fair, they showed up as scheduled and cleaned up very well every day. They were easy to work with and were very patient with our questions. We did a lot of communicating via text and they were very responsive.

I find TerraVenti easy to work with.  The owner is very thoughtful and direct when doing business. The employees are kind and thorough with their work.

We would definitely recommend this company if you are planning a kitchen or bathroom remodel."

"While the work was ultimately completed and the end product was acceptable, I cannot recommend Faith Construction and would not use them again. This was a small project - installing a wall to create a bedroom, installing a door from the bedroom to the bathroom, rearranging the existing electric to work and then painting everything. I got four estimates from Angie's List contractors and the Faith Construction initial proposal came in as the low bid. However, the bid was not very detailed. They used words or short phrases to describe the tasks (such as "one standard door", "crown moldings", "install electric in wall", "add electrical switches".) rather than using complete sentences. I reviewed the bid and questioned several of the items on it. They were going to put in a standard door when all other doors in the are were 8 ft doors. They were going to remove a ceiling fan when I had instructed them to move a fan that was placed where the new wall was going and to install a new fan that I would provide. When I pointed this out, they revised their bid by about $600. This was a lot for those corrections but their bid was still a little lower than the second lowest. They also promised to start right away and finish by the end of the week. I was going out of town for an extended period the following week so I agreed to have them do the work. The workman were competent. They showed up on time, worked all day, were polite and made a good effort to keep the place clean. However, they required supervision and did several things that were perplexing to me. At the end of the first day, they had installed the new wall with an open door frame and did the demolition on the new door to the bathroom. However, they did not put in a light switch by the door on the new wall. And for the new door to the bathroom, they moved the existing light switch to the corner of the room which would be behind the new door. These things are basic and should not require instruction or supervision. To their credit, they did recognize these mistakes and went about fixing the problem. However, then they realized that one of the light switches controlled lights to the both the bedroom and the living room (previously one room). I had pointed out this issue to Faith and all the other contractors but Faith claimed to be unaware of it. They insisted that this was not in their proposal and that I would have to pay for an electrician to come and do the work. At this point, I was ready to toss them out. However, they are almost done and I am going out of town so what am I going to do? If I had the time to hire individual contractors to do this, I would have done that in the first place. You hire a general contractor to take care of everything so you don't have to. Finally, the rooms had crown molding. Their estimate listed "crown molding" as something included in the price. What they did was use some of the crown molding from the bedroom to the living room and remove the remaining crown molding from the bedroom. While this was OK, it was not clearly specified in the proposal and other contractors had priced in complete crown molding for both rooms. I was out of town by this point and tired of arguing with them In the end, other contractors would have been less expensive and required less supervision. If you have a small project, you are better off hiring individual workman. If you have a bigger project, you are better off using someone else from Angie's List or elsewhere."

"The quality of work is good, but they took a drawer of mine they were supposed to repair, but are refusing to return it. This has been going on for months now, and I have texts saying they do have it. They are not answering my calls, or replying my texts anymore."

"It was great! When I first called Jaime told me he would love to meet with me but realistically it would be at least three months before he could get me in the schedule. He sent me photos of his work which were beautiful. I decided to wait. About three months later he came out and met with me. He was very professional and so nice. You could tell by speaking with him that he was proud of his work and only wanted to do quality jobs. So what went from a back patio repair became that plus a driveway and porch redo and the addition of a pathway. There was a delay while he tried to find the original clay pavers used on the patio. We eventually decided to go with Chicago brick for the front. Jaime was very helpful with the design, Chicago brick plus a coral border. The plans had to be redone once and he was very patient with us. He was always a text or phone call away. The pathway and back patio look great and the front is stunning. I could not have imaged how beautiful it looks. He suggested the Chicago Brick and and coral border. Great quality materials and had a special place to get the the stepping stones for the pathway that was well worth the trip. His crews were wonderful too, very nice, professional and did a great job. I am so glad I decided to wait. Jaime's advice was spot on. The materials he used are high quality and will last a lifetime. I will continue to use him for regular maintenance and highly recommend him for any driveway, patio or pool work needed."

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Miami, FL

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
