I went into the shop to look at some samples, and I didn't find exactly what I wanted. I emailed a picture from online to Ken, who brought similar samples out to my house. I was able to find exactly what I wanted. The product is LVT.. luxury vinyl tile, and it is superb. Everyone thinks it's real ceramic tile. I've had it for 9 months now, in a very high traffic area and it looks as good as it did on day one. The installation was impeccable. Eddie did a fantastic job. I'm amazed at the detail and the precision in places like corners and around molding. He even did some extras without charging, like putting up molding in the bathroom. What an awesome team this is!!!"

"I did not like the job timing. The workers showed up on a Friday at 6:00 P.M. to start the job of removing the old floor. The returned Saturday morning to complete the installation of the new floor. Although it was an excellent job done with very good materials I did not appreciate it taking two days instead of the one day promised by the salesman. Also you have to pay for the warranty, in reality Empire does not warranty anything. The workers did do a professional job in every respect Empire should limit their work load so they don't arrive so late to start a job."

We had them rip out our old jacuzzi tub and installed a beautiful walk-in tile shower with frameless glass doors. We are so happy with this work! Itâ s the best shower weâ ve ever had in a house. "We needed 300 square feet of parquet in living room and 200 square feet of oak flooring in bedroom refinished before new tenants arrived. They were last refinished 15 years ago and other than scratches and dull finish, they were in good condition. We sent Jason pictures of the rooms and indicated we need 4 coats of water-based polyurethane since there will be a newborn (do not want fumes and want the finish to last). He provided a prompt estimate at a good price and was able to meet our timeline (needed within 2 weeks). When the new tenants requested to move in a day early, I contacted Jason and he ensured the floors will be ready and dry in time. The floors in the empty house were done on Tuesday & Wednesday and were ready for the new tenants on Thursday. They cleaned up the dust from the surfaces and sent me pictures of the floors after they put on the last coat of polyurethane. The floors glisten with the new finish. They left the floor grates for the heating system in the rooms for me to pop back in since the finish needed drying before reinstallation. It took me about 5 minutes to put them all back in. We are pleased with the work from Square 1 and recommend that you consider them for floor refinishing."
