"Our outside faucet was damaged and needed replacement. Adam and his partner arrived promptly and provided a very reasonable estimate to replace the faucet. They kept us informed every step of the way, were quick and efficient with the repairs and left the workplace spotless. We chose The Pipe Doctor because they are a locally owned company with a spotless service record. We were completely satisfied with their service and would not hesitate to use them again."

"I contacted Granite Vision and spoke with Roni, explaining that because the vanity was in an awkward place in this small bathroom, I needed help to decide what was required. Joseph and another member came within a couple of days to assess the situation, make recommendations, and take measurements. Joseph then emailed pictures of various granite slabs since I was unable to get to their site, and within a week his team installed the top, offset sink, and my faucet. Both their installer and plumber readily answered all questions. Also, because I have add'l bathroom remodeling to do, I asked Joseph for any recommendations he may have for providers with whom he's worked who do smaller jobs and are good. He did make some recommendations and responded quickly to any questions I had regarding these providers. I highly recommend Granite Vision not only for the quality of their product but also for their professionalism and support."

"A-Master assessed our plumbing issue (bad check valve on well pump and bad pressure tank). Quote for repairs included pulling the pump to replace check valve. Cost was quite a bit more than another plumber quote we had received so we went with the cheaper option (also because that plumber was under contract with our home warranty company). Was very impressed with A-Master plumber's professionalism, speed of diagnosis, punctuality, explanation of repairs needed, and communications. They were definitely superior in those areas to the cheaper plumber, but for this job we decided the cheaper option was sufficient."

Purchased Angie's list deal for free visit and 1st Hour of service for a pre-paid $49.  On first visit, it was quickly determined that the condo associate couldn't turn off the water to the building.  And the plumber didn't have a part needed to install the faucet in any case; so for both reasons the visit needed to be rescheduled.

After some delay due to the Condo Association needing a major repair to fix their problem; we tried again.  This time a new person came 1/2 hour early, which is a problem since they notify condo owners the build water will be shut of only during designated times; however the maintenance manager made an except and shut off the water early.  However, I indicated that they needed two individuals to move out the stacked washer/dryer to access the necessary plumbing; and the 1st guy was expecting the 2nd to come at the scheduled time.  So we waited and he never showed up.  And he was to have the necessary parts.  The 1st guy was able scrounge in the truck for awhile and did find the parts he needed, purely by luck.  Next, the 1st guy couldn't remove the washer/dryer himself and the maintenance manager helped him.  And he proceeded to make the repairs.  Subsequently, the unit needed to be put back, and the maintenance manager was no longer present.  I was able to help reluctantly since I recently injured my back; but with some pain and effort we got it back in place.  At some point towards the end, the 1st guy had a very heated discussion with the office about never working with "CJ" again (I assuming the 2nd guy who didn't show).

Now on to payment; the I had discussions with the office coordinator several times that my Angie's list voucher was still valid after the initial situation.  When the 1st guy called it in, they didn't honor that, indicating I used it with first visit.  A visit in which no work was done, and he didn't have the correct parts even if he could have.  So I was charged the full price.

I'm fairly certain the "2nd guy/CJ" was the same individual who came out the first time.  And while he was "fine", I didn't really like his demeanor.  I recognize he made the visit and couldn't perform the work; thus the reason I didn't really object on not getting credit on the 2nd visit.  But was not happy after being assured it was going to carry over.  And his not showing caused the 1st guy to spend billable time looking for parts and struggling with the washer unit, and worse making me and my bad back help him.

I want to say the guy who did the work was polite to me; seemed to do a quality job, and got through a difficult situation.  With the exception of the phone call back to the office in front of me, I don't have any complaints on his service.  I gave the D on price because of the non-application of the Angie's deal; but the price was probably fair given the time spent otherwise at about $95/hr.

In the end, it wasn't a disaster, and the price wasn't a real problem, but it still wasn't a particularly pleasant experience and didn't really instill much confidence.  I think I would try another firm next time to see if the experience was more positive.

"This review is long overdue. We cannot say enough good things about Paul and his crew Hans and Willie. They have been outstanding, professional, and courteous. After all the horror stories you hear about contractors, Paul and his crew were so easy to work with, and completed the work as scheduled in a little over 3 weeks. Through out the renovation Paul stayed in touch daily, dropping by on site every single day, checking on the work in progress,  and keeping us posted in the evening or early next morning on what to expect the next day. If something didn't work out the way we expected we found that Paul was on our side wanting to see it corrected to our satisfaction. Hans and Willie were equally conscientious and kept our home neat and tidy at the end of every work day. What was unexpected and refreshing was how they checked in with us during every stage of the project so that there were absolutely no surprises. We used natural stone tile on the bathroom floor and both Hans and Willie are so intrinsically motivated that they would thoroughly inspect the quality of each tile before laying it, they discovered a few with hairline cracks that did not catch our eye. If they had any doubts as to whether or not a particular tile pattern looked too dark or light they would consult with us and get our approval before laying it. This crew was definitely not in a rush to just get the job over with any which way. So if you are looking for folks who care as much about your purchases and the quality of your bathroom as you do, then you've come to the end of your search with The Tile Artisan. On a side note, Paul brought in Modern Glass Designs to install the shower glass and they too did an outstanding job. They were reasonable and very professional too."
