"Wally & his crew were very reliable. They were usually earlier than they said they would be at our house. They installed interior doors, recaulked my tub & refinished my wood floors & installed new trim. They also fixed a bedroom ceiling that was water damaged & painted it.I will hire them again in the future. I recommended them to my neighbor."

"We absolutely loved our experience working with Sara (designer) and the Archadeck team on our new backyard deck. The team was extremely responsive to requests and adjustments throughout the process. There were a few punch list items that came up after the build was complete that they had a technician come out and fix very quickly. Would definitely recommend Archadeck to those looking not just for a new deck, but an overall professional, high quality build experience."

"We had a 750 sq foot elevated deck built by Joel and the building team led by Matt. Joel was fantastic to work with from his first visit, design proposal and quote. The building team led by Matt did extremely high quality work and were great to design with as the project progressed. They were very neat and hard working. We were delighted with the overall experience, result and value for money. We would definitely work with them again and highly recommend them."

"Though the product is good, the process was beyond horrible. Upon an initial walkthrough for replacement windows on the first floor only of our modest home, our salesperson estimated that it would cost 75K for similar style windows with an upgrade to one window. We ended up with a no upgrade, a simpler window style, and the option of painting the window frames ourselves which, with a good promotion, brought the cost to almost half the initial estimate. We were assured by our salesperson that the installers would tape around the windows so that they would be ready to paint. However, after installation was complete, there was no tape and, worse, there were gaping holes between the frame and wall of most windows. It is hard to believe that this would have been an acceptable final product if I had not fussed. An installer returned, though he said it was a courtesy, and fixed most of the issues but not all. Follow-up emails were responded to only by our salesperson who asked others to respond but no one ever did. I would not use this company again."

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Midlothian, IL

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
