"From this point forward, this company will be my go-to for any home repairs I need. We were looking for a trash can fenced enclosure that was installed rather poorly a few years ago. Our handyman, Jose (jose@charlotte), was attentive, thorough, and dedicated to the best outcome for our family. He arrived on time, remained a consummate professional, and helped us make the best decisions for our improvement project. We are so pleased with the outcome. Thank you, Jose, and thank you, Cransten. Moving forward, this will be my go-to home improvement company!"

"Tom Wheatley is a skilled carpenter and general contractor. The name of his business is "Pedagogy home and repair", The job involved remodeling a loft condo to enclose the lof and add a second bedroom by extending the second level across the open space. the "Pedagogy" came about because he also was a high-school teacher who taught home building and remodeling. Business was interrupted by COVID and led him to take on several projects in the SLC and Park City area. I found his work to be of the highest quality. I was impressed by his knowledge of the craft and his general management skills. When problems arose, he never shirked his responsibilities, nor made excuses. The overall quality of the job was excellent. I found that he was easy to work with and aimed to please us at every turn."

"Natay responded to my Angie's list request and, after chatting, I set up a meeting. then I saw they advertise for luxury home remodels, which this is not. I reached out and said I didn't think this was the project for them. Why waste both our times? They reassured me that it was still worth their time. $25,000 to replace a tub and a vanity?! I wasn't building a new bathroom! They basically gave me a 'go away' quote. I immediately got two more quotes from other sources. One for $5,800 and the other for $4,100 including fixtures and materials. I get that this job was not something Natay wanted to do, but I gave them an out and they didn't take it and they wasted my time."

"10 out of 10 would recommend Elite Mountain Homes if you are looking for a custom home builder. We worked directly with the owner of the company and he was wonderful! Very responsive, to questions and did a beautiful job on our custom home in Red Ledges. Dusty and his team were easy to work with and walked us through what can be a very stressful process with very little stress. Elite Mountain Homes helped us build the home of our dreams and I know they would do a fantastic job for anyone looking to do the same!"

"I have hired AIM Construction for different projects around my home, including painting, texture, framing a fireplace, built-in shelves, building 2 gates, moving sprinklers, etc. They have always been great at communication, they’re here when they say they’ll be here, and they do great work! I’ve been a very satisfied customer and have just contracted them again for another project. Highly recommend!"

"I found RPL Remodels after getting completely burned by another contractor. I told Rafael when he came to give me a bid I needed him to finish off a job someone else didn’t finish, plus I had a few other projects I needed done around the house (drywall repair throughout the house and painting a basement apartment). He didn’t question me or make me feel like the bad guy - just let me show him what I needed done. Working with Rafael was a complete 180 from my previous contractor. He was kind, answered all my questions/was prompt in answering texts, set up a tent to prevent dust from going everywhere with drywall repair, cleaned up after himself, and when all was said and done the jobs he did looked fantastic. He gave a competitive bid, especially with some last minute add-ons to the job, and I’m very happy with the work he did and his customer service. Hire him if you want to work with a genuine guy and have a job well done!"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Midway, UT

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
