"I hired Bob to do repairs and renovation of a condo rental unit. He renovated the bathroom with new tiles, replacing bathroom rotten wood frame window with a vinyl frame, installing new light fixtures and repairing bathroom plumbing, repairing torn screens, as well as repainting interior walls and trim throughout the unit and installing new shades throughout. He also plastered water-damaged ceilings and cleaned and organized the basement storage area. On the exterior he replaced a rotted window frame and missing clapboards, then patched and painted the wall. Bob arrived early each day and worked diligently. Bob is a great problem solver and works with you to suggest ways to do repairs for the best outcome while keeping costs down. His work is high quality. I would definitely hire him again."

"I hired Bertie to repair some ceilings in my kitchen, living room, and bathroom. He did a really nice job and left the house tidy when it was all said and done. He was responsive to my calls, and very friendly and professional. The work looks great and I've already recommended him to a friend. He is definitely a plaster guy I'd call in the future."

"We had a serious water heater leak throughout 4 rooms. Rick had the floor dismantled and replaced - better than it had been originally. The original installers had not staggered the planks — he did and the floors look better than ever. Rick and the men who did the work couldn't have been more professional while getting the job done!! So happy with the results that I would definitely hire Rick again for any future work needing to be done!"

"Peter was incredibly responsive.  He responded to my initial email within a couple of hours. I received quotes from 2 other plumbers for the work and all were about the same price but Peter was by far the most responsive and professional.  He gave me a 1-hour window from 11-12 and showed up right at 11:30.  He took the time to answer any questions I had about the permit / inspection process and operation / maintenance of the new water heater.  He will definitely be my go-to for any plumbing needs in the future.

"I had three bids on a very large job in my house.  Gerry was the most competitive and available immediately.  He arrived with his staff and they immediately went to work with no breaks.
They started on the third floor, painting a bedroom, sitting room and bathroom.  He had a wonderful plumber/tiler who fixed the bathroom floor and regrouted the shower.
In the basement, another team was painting a hall, trim in a very large sitting area and ping pong area.  They fixed walls in the bathroom that were damaged.
They painted a coffered ceiling.  They rewallpapered after stripping the old.
On the second floor, they painted a large bedroom, bathroom, all the trim, restained the bannister and his plumber also regrouted two bathroom showers, and lay marble in the master bathroom, while regrouting the shower and installing new fixtures in a double sink, hot tub and shower.

"Everything went very well (I'm attaching a variety of before & after pictures with this review). The total job took longer than expected, but that was mainly because we were not 100% ready to start when the contractors arrived (we were still dithering over colors, etc.). Marc and Grace (his project manager) checked in with both of us daily to make sure we were happy with how everything was going, even if it meant going back to re-do a couple of things if the project required it. (The house is more than 150 years old, and it took a lot of extra effort to get the floor sufficiently level for new tiling, but Marc and his team invested a lot of extra effort to get the job done right.) The final scope of work included: new granite countertops, new tile backsplash, new linoleum tile floor, painting existing cabinetry, stripping wallpaper, and installing new bead-board/baseboards/crown moldings throughout the kitchen and laundry rooms. We were pretty happy with the original layout and didn't need to move any appliances (so we only needed MA Painters for minimal plumbing and electrical work). The two biggest pieces were: 1) painting the existing cabinetry, which were not wood but laminate, so they needed to be cleaned/sanded/primed/painted, and 2) leveling the floor and installing new tiling. They also custom built a new section of cabinetry near the backdoor with space for cookbooks, tools, cubbyholes for shoes, and a spot for sorting mail and charging our electronics. The original contract also included some carpentry on our front porch to replace some columns and planks that had weathered. Terrific work all around! We've lived in this house for 17 years with a phenomenally ugly kitchen, and my only regret is that we didn't find MA Painters sooner."

"They did a great job, no fuss. We scheduled via email and then they emailed to let me know the work had been completed. From the cards they left, they also do window washing, and I may have them do that in the spring."

"Don and his team did a fantastic job on my full bathroom remodel, as well as putting in a new closet in one of my bedrooms and taking care of various other handyman projects for my place. I found him very easy to work with and very honest. He honors his commitments, and was clear on his schedule. He never placed other jobs in front of mine once work was underway. He is very capable, asking key questions and then using his experience to come up with a good plan of how to implement my requests. Of course, I needed to do my part in providing any needed supplies that were unique to the project (such as tile, bathroom fixtures, etc.). In some cases, I had very specific plans, in which case he listened to me and followed those plans while offering suggestions for improvement. There were a few cases where I wanted changes as the work proceeded, and he was very responsive in making those changes. He is very proud of his work and stands by it. I've attached a few pictures. The first photo shows the closet he built after he removed an old wall-mounted version. The removal of the old version also involved removing very old wallpaper and patching the drywall where needed. As you can see in the picture, it came out beautiful, and he and his team were the ones that installed the wood floor and painted the room. The second photo shows the new bathroom vanity and medicine cabinet that was part of a full bathroom remodel that he did. This was a substantial update since it required a change in the location of the vanity along with the corresponding plumbing and electrical work. He had to build up and move several of the walls, and he created the custom shelves seen in the photo. He also installed the tile floor, put in a new bathroom door, replaced the lights and fan and switches, put in new sheet rock and baseboard trim, and painted the walls and ceiling. Along the way, there were a few surprises and he was able to help me navigate through each of them to achieve results that I am very happy with. The third photo shows the new bathtub and tile that he installed. The tile looks fantastic, and he was careful to insure that studs were placed where the grab bars are located in order to get a solid install. I found Don so easy to work with that I also hired him to do other work around the place, including putting in new ceiling lights, new dimmer switches for those lights, new interior doors, performing various drywall repairs and painting, and several other handyman projects. I would definitely hire him again."
