"Most of us will admit that finding a trustworthy and high quality general home remodeling company can be a potentially stressful task.  When my home recently needed unexpected and quick repairs, I decided I should first join Angie's List- as I really wanted access to local consumer reviews and honest feedback about multiple remodelers in my area.  I have had several poor experiences over the years with recommendations to hire "a friend of a friend", and wanted to avoid that problem this time.  I also wanted to be assured that the work would be done correctly, done right the first time and that I would not have to win the lottery to be able to pay for it.  <br /> Since time was of the essence, and after joining Angie's List and reading several reviews (and thanks so much to those who write them- it was more helpful and reassuring than you know) I decided to call and/or email four remodeling companies that all had very positive reviews.  A prompt response was hoped for but not really expected, yet Steve Farris of Thorobilt called me by the end of the same day.  (By the way, I am still waiting to hear from two others...and one did efficiently respond within 48 hours.)   <br /> Steve listened patiently to my situation and made arrangements to come to the house and assess the damage.  He made arrangements to send me a written estimate, and it also arrived as promised.  On the day of the repairs he and two of his workers arrived as scheduled and immediately set about doing the agreed upon repairs.  They had to wait for the other vendors to remove the water heater and HVAC units from the utility closet but kept busy with the smaller tasks.  Once the units were out of their way they busily went to work on the main project- the sub-flooring.   <br /> The work was done quickly, professionally, and- most impressively- with little construction dust/debris.  They repeatedly cleaned up the area as they went, which I really appreciated.  The gentlemen doing the work were courteous and patiently endured my endless questions. <br /> If a near-emergency home repair can be a pleasant experience, then this was it.  Steve was professional from the initial phone call all the way through to the end of the work.  I am also confident in the level of expertise his workers displayed. <br /> I can- with great confidence- recommend Steve Farris and Thorobilt Construction.  In fact,  I have several other home repair/improvement projects on the horizon and plan to work again with Thorobilt on these projects.  If their service, value, quality of work and/or professionalism do not live up to the standards they set on my recent project, I'll be sure to let you know.  However, I anticipate writing more positive reviews for this business in the future, based upon my recent project."

Everyone was professional and friendly. (They put up with our dog who always wanted to assist with the work). There were delays at times but projects were completed with 2-3 weeks of projected end date. Robby was always found a way to do any of our wanted designs."
