"We have a contract with this company for a roof replacement. The contract was organized with their Lenexa Office on Widmer Rd. Funds have already been dispersed. Last week when we followed up we were told that the Lenexa office had been closed. Several days later (after many attempts to contact the company, which is headquartered in Arlington, TX) we were contacted by their Production Manager who assured us that the project would proceed. Materials were to be delivered Friday the 29th and the work was to be performed the following day (today). The material did not arrive. We called the production manager and were told that although the company had received the funds the owner had not purchased the materials and so the project was/is in limbo. Attempts to contact the owner or the main office have been fruitless."

"Joe Norris and Gary Jackson were great to work with to remodel and design our Kitchen and Laundry room. Custom Cabinets, new flooring, extensive interior painting, new trim and electrical work. They installed new Kitchen and Laundry appliances. LED lights were installed in the cabinets and ceilings. They were in constant communications via phone and text messaging. From demo to having a working kitchen took approximately 6 weeks. They provide advice when asked about products, designs, and other improvements to the house. Their team of trade professionals were some of nicest people we have ever worked with on home improvement projects. I would highly recommend."

"The team that makes up Millworks Visions, LLC has been well honed, and the project was excellence from start to finish. I rank communication and the management of expectation as highly as I do craftsmanship, and I am as impressed by this project’s flow and time management as the beautiful result of the remodel. Millworks Visions, LLC holds the standard of excellence of a time gone by, and I am so grateful to have worked together."

I founded my company on service and thoroughness.. I can handle a multiple of tasks and projects, decreasing your need for numerous, unfamiliar, individuals to invade your home for repairs, and increasing the process necessary to finish in a timely manner. I have numerous customer's trust. I have no problem with pets, I have 5 big rescue dogs I call the kids.\nI attempt to do all the work myself, however on the big jobs, I do have employees assist in those projects. I have employees I trust and will not leave unsupervised for your piece of mind.. I do, on occasion, sub-contract if the job is extremely large so as to finish in a timely manner and obtain warranties. I give free estimates. I do charge a trip charge if the mileage is over 35 miles one-way on projects. I usually include all materials necessary to complete the project, and will price each job seperately. However, multiple tasks will warrant discounts as they increase.

FAQs for basement remodeling projects in Mineral Wells, TX

Finishing a basement turns unused square footage into livable space and returns up to 70% of what you spend when you sell your home. Beyond that resale boost, you gain a playroom, home office, or guest suite you can start enjoying right away. That mix of daily comfort and solid return on investment (ROI) makes basement finishing one of the smartest upgrades you can tackle.

In some parts of the country—especially lots on swamps, high water tables, or other wetlands—local codes prohibit basements. Saturated soil puts constant pressure on foundation walls and lets water seep in faster than any sump pump can handle.

If your property sits on waterlogged ground, building on a slab or crawl space is often safer, more affordable, and code-compliant.

Most basements wrap up in four to eight weeks. Framing takes three to five days, with electrical and plumbing rough-ins following over the next week. Add five days for drywall, two to three for flooring, and another week for paint, trim, and punch-list items.

Delays can happen if materials run late or your contractor’s calendar is packed, so build in a little cushion when you plan.

Whether a finished basement counts toward your home’s official square footage depends on local rules. Many areas only include below-grade space if it has code-approved egress, fully finished walls, ceilings, and floors, plus consistent heating.

Check with your local assessor or building department before you start; meeting those standards can affect taxes, appraisals, and resale value.

Building codes require a checklist: dedicated heat and electrical service, a code-approved stairway, and at least one egress window or exterior door. Walls, ceilings, and floors must be fully finished and meet insulation, ventilation, and fire-separation standards. If you add a bedroom, you’ll also need a closet, proper clearances, and safe exits. If you change the layout later, be ready to update the space so every new room still meets today’s code.
