"Carlos and his team did an excellent job. They were professional from original estimate through to finished the work. Carlos was easy to work with. When I suggested we modify estimate to add another option to fix the subfloor on it he did not hesitate to do this, many contractors would have refused. In the end the subfloor was repaired and no longer has squeaks coming from it. I would highly recommend using Empire General Contracting of Texas for your next construction or remolding project."

"Rudy was spectacular! One of the best contractors I have ever hired and I do a lot of interior decorating … I have worked with several. He is very knowledgeable and a pro when it comes to woodwork and his finish out. I am a perfectionist and a lot of things are not to my satisfaction, but not in this case. I will continue to hire him for all the projects that I still need to have completed! He is friendly, professional, a perfectionist, easy-going patient all the things you need when you hire a contractor! "

"I am extremely pleased with my remodel! I feel like I’m living in an entirely new home. Elliott is a skilled professional and an exceptionally talented designer. I could not be more pleased with my gorgeous porcelain tile floors! He listened patiently to all of my concerns and went above and beyond my expectations. In addition to new flooring, he designed my beautiful and functional home office, remodeled my living area, and an adjacent bathroom. I would absolutely recommend his services to anyone and would hire him again in a heartbeat!!"

"Damage was significant and I was definitely compromised personally because I office out of my home and time to complete repair was of utmost importance.  The company owner, John Cox,  personally surveyed the damage and immediately wrote up an estimate, gave me an acceptable start date and contacted my insurance company when he noticed some things that needed repair were not included in the adjustors estimate.  He used several different crews to repair and replace sheetrock, texturing, flooring, painting and custom molding and woodwork.  I was always notified of who was coming in to do the work, when they would be there and approximately how long it would take.  Mr Cox oversaw the project on a daily basis to find out if I was pleased with the progression of the work.  His crew cleaned up after themselves and were respectful of coming at an appropriate hour in the morning.  Several days they were there after dark picking up nails and screws and hauling off trash from the job.  It appears that many of his employees have been with him for some time and that says a lot to me. I am extremely satisfied with the quality of the work and the professionalism of the company.  The work is now complete.  I would recommend Coxco to others and intend to have some additional remodeling using this company in the near future."

"Millie and Ray did an amazing job on our kitchen remodel! They saved us from a botch interior design job! They were patient with us choosing materials, and personalized our cabinets so well so this will be our forever home! And they worked well with my husband who is very diy, so we could be budget conscious (reason why the pics are unfinished). "

"I can’t say enough good things about Pete Lewiston and Lewiston & Sons Painting and Construction. I used them for exterior woodworking repairs and masonry repairs. Pete is a very nice, very professional and very conscientious contractor. He is very knowledgeable about construction (he also is a home inspector), has very good people who work for him and know what they are doing, and he oversees every step of the work. Also, Pete is fair and reasonable with the cost of the work. I was so pleased with the quality and cost of the work that I plan to use Lewiston & Sons for a major home remodeling project in the future. Five stars; I recommend him without reservation."

"Work started in February and completed in Mar. Hold up was strictly due to all the rain we had, but they took advantage of any openings to continue to completion. The teams that worked on our house were great and Bruce and his team took all the time we needed to answer questions and responded quickly. After installation noticed a window stress fracture and it was repaired by (Pella) quickly. In June had a couple of adjustments that needed to be made to flashing and it was handled without a fuss. I would recommend Scott Exteriors to anyone thinking of have work like this done. I have no complaints and will definitely use them for future projects."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Mineral Wells, TX

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
