Customers say: True professional

"I am a local real estate agent who needed mold mediation and restoration pricing for my buyer. Tony at Restoration Now responded to my inquiry right away and made himself available the next day for a free estimate. He was punctual, knowledgeable and very pleasant. His bid was acceptable to my buyer and he scheduled the work to be done according to my buyer's timeline. I will definitely call Tony at Restoration Now the next time I'm in need of his expertise. "Iowa Mold Removal was great to work with. They were very knowledgeable, professional, explained what they do and how they do it, answered our questions/concerns, and did quality work. Although we ran into a few communication and scheduling challenges along the way, they were always courteous and professional in making things right and following up to ensure the work was done and we were satisfied. Overall great experience and would recommend them to anyone who s dealing with mold and needs professional assistance."

"They scheduled the appointment the next day after I purchased from Angie's List. They arrived on time on the day scheduled. We had had other water damage in our home, and I asked for him to check for mold/mildew. He looked at my basement ceiling and kitchen floor--where the water damage was and said since it was so recent (approx 3 weeks) there was probably no mold/mildew buildup. He did test the moisture content in the kitchen floor.
I requested the name of someone he would recommend to do the ceiling repair and re-texturing. He told me he'd let me know as soon as he got back to the office. It's been seven weeks....must be a long trip to the office. I've never heard back from the
gentleman.
For this reason alone, I will not consider them in the future.
Did I get what I paid for? I don't know. I don't know how to check for mold/mildew myself--that was why I purchased the service.
Do I felt it was money well-spent? No. He was more worried about the job another company was doing replacing my floor, than actually what I had paid for him to do.
Satisfaction? nope.

FAQs for toxicity and mold removal projects in Missouri Valley, IA

Remediation should keep mold from returning as long as the moisture source is eliminated. Fix leaks, control humidity, and replace water-damaged materials, then schedule periodic inspections to stay ahead of new growth. With those safeguards, your home can stay mold-free for the long haul while protecting both health and property value.

Most pros recommend leaving the home while they work on mold remediation. Removing mold stirs up airborne spores that can aggravate respiratory issues, and contractors can work more efficiently in an empty space. A short, temporary relocation keeps everyone in your family safe and lets the crew finish the job without interruption.

Mold shouldn’t return once the moisture problem is fixed. Stay vigilant: repair leaks right away, keep humidity below 50 percent with a dehumidifier placed in damp areas, and improve ventilation where needed. Routine checks for leaks and mold and quick repairs go a long way toward keeping your home mold-free.

Mold spores can trigger nasal congestion, throat irritation, coughing, wheezing, eye irritation, or skin rashes. People with asthma, allergies, or weakened immune systems often feel the effects sooner and more intensely. Some molds also release mycotoxins linked to serious respiratory or neurological issues. Swift remediation and better ventilation are the best defenses.
