During design of the walks, we had full say and before each step in the prep and shaping, we had approvals. Before the pour, we made a design change without problems. All of this approval control made for an excellent set of walks. The driveway required edging the overgrown grass and dirt/water cleaning before the sealing."

They are very busy so we have a three-week wait after we signed the contract and when the work was scheduled to begin. Gerry, the owner is at the site everyday. "Let me start by saying we had an absolutely first rate experience with E&F Masonry and recommend them without reservation. Excellent pricing, work done quickly and on time, excellent workmanship and complete clean up when they were done. It was like they were never here except for the repairs they made. The backstory is that our house façade and our very tall chimney had “cultured” (concrete simulated) stone attached when we built the house 22 years ago. The masons however didn’t put mortar between the stones and we fought with the builder for years to have it rectified but we lost. The stones started to fall off five years ago (one hit me on the head when I closed the front door, 8 stiches required). So, we decided before we retired to have the mortar installed as it should have been originally. E&F did an outstanding job and their pricing was better than others we spoke too. However, we primarily chose them due to their high ratings from other customers. They also redid our flagstone front stoop which is now beautiful. It was a laborious process requiring extensive scaffolding and working in cold winds and damp weather. They also discovered the chimney mortar cap wasn’t done correctly and completely fixed that for no extra charge. The foreman I worked was excellent and explained what was going on. We are very, very happy with the work done. It is nice to have quality work done by professionals who care."

"It went very well. William came to my home, measured and set up a date. My driveway was larger than the 150 square feet allowed for the $1400.00 deal; and I wanted it widened a bit so the cost was more. Laying concrete has to be scheduled for when the concrete company can deliver so it was delayed a couple of days which was fine as the weather cooled off. William and his men arrived at the scheduled time, double-checked the frame for accuracy and did a fine job. The new driveway looks great. Yes, I would use them again."

"We obtained several opinions and quotes, and decided to go with Mark and his team because they provided several solutions for the issue: 1) Install pipe underground that connected our sump pump output to a pop-up at the bottom of the yard, so that water from the sump pump could no longer saturate the lawn 2) plant topsoil and grass, so that the water had a place to go instead of just washing the mud down the hill, and 3) redo the concrete step at the base of our walkway with a gradient so that water would no longer collect there. All three solutions worked. We have since had two storms and our walkway has remained puddle and mud-free. Furthermore, Mark was very professional. Proactive communication, arrived on-time as expected. Called before he came by. Mark proved to be trustworthy, and followed-through on everything he said he would do.
