"Took a while for my turn on the list but well worth the wait. FYI: A three day job can turn into a four or five day job once you start looking around the house and see all the other things he can take care of "since he's there!" Great service and well worth the wait and sorry to the person on the list after me as I looked around my house and starting adding to what I needed done!"

"The service rep was quite unprofessional. Appeared a bit unkept, very young- which wouldn't normally matter - but the way the quote was handled was not business appropriate. He immediately said he would have to rip out and remove the entire existing shower without trying to see if he could pinpoint the problem. Other companies gave me several options for fix&repair vs entire removal and replacement - but this guy only gave me complete replacement. Said it couldn't be done any other way. <br />"

"That particular company had been getting a bad rep before we used them. We went ahead and used them and it was not an insurance claim and they did an excellent job. They're competitive and very comparable to everybody else in our area. They're not any more expensive, they're not any less. They do a really good job, what they promise to do, they do."

"I looked on Angie's List for someone to repair/replace my deck.I received visits and estimates from 2 different highly rated (on the website) contractors/handymen. I chose to go with Everetts Custom Renovations LLC of Yulee, FL and I am happy that I did. First, Jason Everetts estimate for my project over $1500.00 less than his competitor, Secondly, I discovered during the time Jason and his associates worked on my deck that he is one of those often hard to find workers who is professional, experienced, skilled, hardworking, and honest. Jason showed up when promised and completed the work when and as promised.I was impressed enough by his work on my deck to hire him to complete a minor bathroom remodel involving framing, drywall work, and painting. Once again Jason proved to be a very personable and professional worker while performing excellent work. I would definitely employ him again and would highly recommend him to others for similar work.On these 2 projects, Jason showed he is willing to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction."

"We hired Andy and his team to build a covered screen porch on an existing deck based on our architect's drawings. They delivered an incredible product with excellent attention to detail on a very fast timeline. Andy was very good with communication. The estimate was clear with detailed line items so we had a clear sense of what to expect. We appreciated the details that made the project turn out really well like under-deck screens, extended landing pad, painted interior, ceiling fan install, and composite decking. Quicksaw was able to implement our architect's drawings with no issues or problems - and made useful suggestions that made the addition fit even better into our existing structure. The work was completed very quickly with a tidy worksite that did not interrupt our work from home setup or evening use of our yard."

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Monticello, GA

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
