"UPDATED 10/30/2020: This is a revision of the 10/7/20 review. They did refund the overpayment and I'm glad that they have been working to make sure that they fixed the problem. They kept me informed about the schedule and arrived and checked the washing machine and determined that it was not the washing machine but I needed an electrician (When the electrician arrived after extensive searching they discovered that the problem was the sump pump) which has now been repaired). They quoted me a fee for the service call. While they were there I asked them about another appliance I was having trouble with. They took a peek and indicated what they thought was the matter and what would be needed for the repair. They gave me a bill for the quoted repair and I paid it by charge card. I was shocked to see that I was charged double the amount I was quoted when I looked at my credit card statement. I'm not sure if they charged me double because they looked at the other appliance, if it was a mistake or something else but I wish they had informed me that I was being charged more. As for the would I hire again I wish there was a maybe button."

Kurt Randell was awesome! This was a major decision and I had multiple estimates to comb through. I was so unsure of what work should be performed and there's always the matter of cost. Kurt answered my million and one questions. I never waited long for a response. He was very patient with me and walked me through the process. When discussing what work will be conducted for what price, he told me he would love the contract but he could only go so low because he would not cut corners to give a lower price. That spoke volumes. Many contractors bid low and cut corners to make their profit. Very impressive.

AHS was able to start the work before other contractors were available. Kurt explained his schedule and had a contingency plan in case it snowed. The day the work began, I went to work without worrying about what work was being performed at the house (the house was empty). Kurt called me at the end of the day and went over the details of the work completed and the plan for the next two days. He did this each day. We pre-planned a time to meet at the completion of the final work. Kurt walked me through the whole house and answered my many questions. I was so relieved to have the work complete. When a new problem surfaced during and after the remediation, Kurt took care of it very reasonably and quickly. There was no hassle. He never tried to charge absorbent fees because I had already settled on him. I appreciate his help and support and for not taking advantage of the situation. I had a third party inspector inspect the work and I received a mold clearance letter.

AHS gave me a package deal easing the stress of me having to call multiple contractors to complete the work. His roofer installed better shingles than another roofer and for the same price. I really appreciated AHS taking care of all the needs so I did not have to coordinate times and entry with the various parties. This also allowed the work to be done quickly opposed to waiting days or weeks for each contractor to complete their portion based on schedules.

I can't be more please with the service I received from AHS. The paperwork was smooth, no problem with payment processing and no problems during the remediation and post remediation actions. I will definitely refer AHS.

"All work was done beautifully. Other than the fact that I need to paint the area, you can't tell there was ever cracks in the wall or seams. Work was performed diligently and professionally. Tarps were put down and the area was thoroughly cleans upon completion. This is my second time using their services, but for a different type of repair. Will definitely be using their services again. "I thought they were professional and nice, but they tried to repair my same appliance three times and it still didn't work. They were telling me one thing, but were telling my home warranty company something different. When I requested all three of us get on the phone to clarify the misunderstanding, Repair Tech Plus declined. As a result, I have to schedule another company to come out and start all over again with the assessment. This should have already been closed out so I could order a new appliance."

"First off, the electrician who came out was fantastic. Dan was on-time and got the work done without any issues. As you can select the person that comes out, I would highly recommend him to those who book on the site. He was also helpful in sorting out the billing issue... As has been noted by others, the pricing and the deal listed on here (service call and 30 minutes for $99) is not as clear as it should be. The company website has some additional costs that are easy to miss when you book and how it is written on the deal does not reflect that (or could be described as being a bit unclear and unspecified). They (through Dan's efforts) were able to knock off the materials cost when I paid, but I still had to pay an additional $29.50 for the fleet maintenance fee (at time of sale; this was later refunded). Again, this is unclear in the Angie's list deal and I imagine people miss this and the materials fee when they book as they assume the Angie's deal includes this. I spoke with the office after the service call to discuss the clarity of the deal for future customers, and said they would work with Angie's list to make this clearer in the deal, which I think has been the main issue other recent reviews have had a problem with. I would use their services again, but most likely just for larger electrical jobs."

"While conducting other work at my house, Home Services - VA pointed out the rotted wood surrounding the octagon window.  Home Services - VA checked outside to see how much wood damage there was and what costs would be involved in the repair.

I had a cabinet full of different wood stains, so we were able to find something that matched the other interior octagon window frame.
