In addition, the header above the current door was swelling and pinning the door, and James evaluated the issue, likely water seeping down from an unflashed deck, and provided peace of mind his guys could fix it on site during installation. Quality of Work: Frankly, 75-80% of contractors fail here for three primary reasons: a horrible handoff from the product specialist to the onsite project foreman, project foreman and workers making assumptions about details vice asking the customer, and lack of quality detailed work. The foreman excelled in these areas ensuring we were on the same page for various details such as casing, caulking, and external trim. In addition, he completely replaced the rotted wood structure above and along the sides of the door and added customer-provided insulation where there were gaps. To keep the project on track, they brought in another expert worker and management arrived to ensure the quality of work was high. The end product was beautiful. Pricing: Price was the best of three highly ranked Angie’s List companies. Zen Windows’ expertise, willingness to explain the details of the project, timely communication, and excellent work took the hassle out of this project."
