"Fantastic experience from beginning to end. I'm very happy I went with Joe's company. They are absolute professionals and I could see everyday watching their progress, that they are concerned with quality. Joe had great communication with me throughout the whole process, and they were able to finish on time despite all the rain we were getting. I will definitely hire him again in the future for any masonry."

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."

"Justin Spaugh and an employee, came in, did the work quickly, (two days, because of a slow start), and did it for $500. The
finished deck looks like new. They also made some modifications in the area around the deck so that they way water contacts the deck was rerouted.
It WAS hard getting in touch with Justin by phone over a period of months -- as he was apparently very busy with a lot of jobs. It was not a big problem once be committed to doing the work.
That said, the quality of his work was excellent, and the price was very reasonable. While it took longer to get the job done than I would have liked, that was a condition of him taking on the work -- as it allowed him to it this job nto his already busy schedule.
I've since restained the deck -- it was time -- and you can't tell that it is not all original.
I won't hesitate to use Justin again for projects in the future.

He listened to our ideas and provided more and/or better suggestions.   We would not hesitate to contact him in the future.

"I highly recommend this company. Pablo worked with me on every aspect of the job. They showed up at 7:15 sharp. . I popped in regularly throughout the days and they were working constantly and consistently. The price was thousands less than my cheapest quote from the big box stores (lowe's and sears). He advised me that the bigger the crew, the faster the work will go but the higher the cost. He gave me the option of 1 day with a whole crew or 3 days with a limited crew. I choose the limited crew and it still only took 2 days. The big box companies were going to go over top of my old roof to keep cost down. If they had done that I would have never known that the previous owners had put the roof on with no felt. I went to Lowes with Pablo to pick out my color and set up delivery to my house. They swept my lawn multiple times a day for nails and cleaned up at the end of each day. No loud radios, yelling across the yard, or any of the other things we fear when we leave someone working at our houses. He was honest, patient through my color changes, and a pleasure to work with. I can not say enough good things. Pablo was on site working beside his crew the entire time to ensure quality. My roof looks GREAT!!!!!

FAQs for brick or stone siding: repair or partially replace projects in Mount Airy, NC

Stone veneer isn’t a weekend DIY. Even lightweight faux panels are heavy and must be anchored, flashed, and sealed to keep water out. Missteps can lead to cracked stone, leaks, or injuries. A licensed siding contractor arrives with scaffolding, masonry tools, and the know-how to set each piece safely and neatly, giving you a long-lasting, professional finish.

Stone veneer durability is robust when expert installation and proper maintenance are employed. When installed with precision, regularly cleaned, and sealed as required, stone veneer maintains its integrity for 25 to 75 years. Inadequate installation, however, leads to water intrusion and structural issues that compromise its longevity. Consistent upkeep and adherence to quality installation standards ensure decades of reliable performance.

Covering the entire exterior of a home with stone veneer is feasible but comes with a significant cost increase. Full coverage escalates both material and labor expenses due to the additional square footage required. Many homeowners reduce costs by applying stone veneer selectively—such as around entries, foundations, or architectural accents—while still achieving an upscale appearance and enhancing overall curb appeal.

Installing stone veneer over brick or stucco is entirely possible when the underlying surface is stable and properly prepared. The substrate must be clean, dry, and free of any loose material to support a secure application. Additionally, any areas of flaking stucco or deteriorated mortar must be patched and allowed to cure fully before a professional applies the new veneer, ensuring lasting durability.

Stone veneer siding offers a substantial cost advantage compared to full-thickness natural stone. It costs 25% of the price of natural stone because it is manufactured from concrete and lightweight aggregates. This method delivers the genuine appearance of stone while featuring a thinner profile that simplifies shipping, accelerates installation, and consistently reduces material expenses.

For a 250 square foot exterior area, stone siding installation costs range from $9,800 to $18,000, while installing stone veneer costs between $5,000 and $6,000. This clear cost breakdown demonstrates the significant savings achieved with stone veneer, which uses a lighter construction method that minimizes both material and labor expenses. Homeowners benefit from these lower costs while still attaining the attractive look of natural stone.
