"The experience with Josh and Bill, from initial estimate to installation, was excellent. There were no surprises regarding the cost and timeline. Josh was available to answer all my questions. Plus he sent me my invoices and receipts in a timely manner. The installation was flawless and my family is very satisfied with the results. I would use One Call again and highly recommend them."

"I can highly recommend J Plus Construction after the excellent work they did in transforming my wildly overgrown grass into a beautifully trimmed lawn surrounding my house. Two men worked tirelessly for approximately two hours and did everything I needed to be done with care and attention to my requests. I highly recommend this company. "

"Last November we hired Steve and his crew from Steveâ s Home services to do a complete remodel of our main living areas of our home. This included the bathroom, 2nd bathroom, kitchen, family and living room. They installed new wood floors in a lot of areas, tile floor in bathroom, tile inlay in entry, and a pony wall by front entry. Two main walls were removed between the family and living areas. A full kitchen tear out and everything new was installed including the cabinets. They are a wonderful personable group of hard working contractors to work with. Their work is top quality! We had them in our home for about 5 weeks. We didnâ t have to move out because they cleaned up everyday and protected our furniture with coverings. We will hire them again for phase 2 to remodel our master bathroom."

"Attila and his crew did an absolutely fantastic job replacing all of our windows! The entire process from the first time Attila stepped in the door until the project was finished was great! He and his crew had such positive attitudes and great work ethic. The price could not be matched by any other company in the area, and beat some of the other estimates by tens of thousands of dollars. The team was always on time (even early actually), and were always cleaning up as they went from window to window. I had 7 windows (various shapes, sizes, some obscured for privacy, and some double hung) as well as a patio slider. I cannot tell you just how good the house looks now! I can't wait till the winter to feel the effects of being able to retain the heat the furnace is putting out! Seriously, I've had to hire quite a few contractors at this house to take care of some large projects, but Attila and his team are my absolute favorites! The quality of the work was better than expected, and the team was just so dang personable and easy to talk to. I can't tell you how much you need to at least get a quote from these guys. You will NOT regret it. A++++++++++++++"

"Excellent service, very fast response to my request for service, picked up laptop, diagnosed issues. Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. I would recommend this company to my family./friends and will use again."

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Mukilteo, WA

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
