"I needed the Defrost system assembly replaced in my refrigerator. I called around and I couldn’t afford the prices or just couldn’t get someone to come do it. A friend from Framingham recommended Horizon Appliance Solutions but said they only work in the Ashland area and I live in Boston. A gentleman answered my call was very polite. I explained my situation and the difficulties I’m having finding someone to do the work. He reassured me that someone will come see the job by the end of that same day. They came same day, did the work and charged less than 3 other quotes I received. I cannot thank them enough. In difficult times so good to know there still are good people. Thank you Alex and everyone at Horizon."

"Quick service! David came on a Saturday because I was having trouble with my hot water heater! Reasonable rates! Honest man! David adjusted the setting on my hot water heater as opposed to replacing it. Saved me a fortune! Will call David Ladd next time I have a plumbing problem!! No doubt!"

"In April 2026, our broken cast iron pipe needed to be replaced, but we didn’t know how extensive the repair would be. From Angi's referrals, we called Full Swing Plumbing who arranged for Nick, one of their plumbers, to come to our house that same afternoon. Full Swing waived the dispatch fee. Nick used his endoscope camera to see the extent of the problem. (They had a coupon on their site which offered this one-time, free service.) After a couple hours, they were able to identify the problem, present a few solutions, as well as a final estimate before they left that day. We agreed on the approach and set a date for the following week. Nick and his co-worker were friendly, deeply knowledgeable, and hard-working. They communicated well, taking photos for us throughout the process. They cleaned up everywhere, completed the job in one day, and they kept to their price. Everything worked well from the single visit."

"The guy that came out was nice but really didn’t do a great job of troubleshooting. He said it was a pressure sensor problem and that the whole control board needed to be replaced. He called and gave his shop and they gave me a price of over 350 dollars. I told him no way I’m gonna pay that since it was more than the machine is worth. He then offered that I call the manufacturer to see if they could help which I did. The manufacturer sent their own repair man and that guy just pretty much reset the computer and now my machine works well. I should have just called the manufacturer first. I had to pay the 80 dollar service call to Affordable Appliance for them just to diagnose it. I was charged the 80 at first and the owner Richie contacted me and was very helpful in making my situation right. He refunded me the charge for the service call and offered his business again if I want it in the future. This was a great way to show that he cares about his customers and based by that action, I will recommend him for future jobs."

"When they came out they told me the compressor needed replacing in the refrigerator and it would cost $800.00
plus labor. They also told me I needed 4 new igniters for my gas stove burners. I was quoted a price of $20.00 - $30.00
per igniter plus labor. It cost me $89.00 for the estimate on 8-31-2015. I was told they would contact me when the parts
came in .They came back on 9-16-2015 to repair the burners. I had been expecting a quicker return date. I don't see why it took over two weeks to get 4 igniters. The igniters were replaced quickly and I was charged $181.25 for parts and labor. It seemed to me to be a little on the high side but I didn't question it at the time. When I looked at the receipt later to figure out how much I was charged for parts vs. labor the receipt was not itemized so I could not tell. My main complaint is that less than two weeks later on
9-27-2015 one of the burners failed to lite again. I would not expect that to happen. I will
have to contact them and hope I don't get charged again to come back out and look at it again. If I do get charged for another house call I will not be using them again.
