"Ari is the absolute BEST! I needed various light fixtures replaced/installed throughout the house. I had previously hired an electrician last year to do a few things, but he left holes in the wall, damaged the ceiling, and I was not satisfied with his work overall. Then Ari came to my rescue and I learned how good a contractor can be if you find the right one! He switched 2 ceiling fans to different rooms (and repaired the ceilings the previous guy damaged), fixed the hole in the wall, installed new switches, including dimmers, and installed 2 new ceiling lights. It seemed like every switch he opened had 15 wires coming out of the wall so it was not easy, but he did a great job. If he can fix the wiring in my crazy house, he can do anything. I highly recommend Ari for any projects around the house - big or small. He is respectful, extremely knowledgeable, hardworking, and overall a great guy!"

Wladimir Simoes was responsive, listened to everything that was said, and returned rapidly with a proposal. He also presented his insurance certificates, license, and other documents required by the city of Boston in a timely manner. The work began on the day that was promised, and every step along the way was well communicated. I was always able to reach Wladimir for questions and discussions. The result is a porch that was built professionally, inspected and is a great improvement to the house. It is so rare to meet a contractor who shows up on schedule, and produces great work at a reasonable price that I felt compelled to give a great review."

"Erick and Tom are great. Quality work. Attention to detail. Their forethought thinking of details that just make better sense for us such as solar lights for the stairway and which way the stairs aim. They even used the extra dirt from digging the footings to grade a part of my yard behind the sunroom. They work long days even in the cold and sometimes dark. They never leave a mess. My driveway is cleaner than I have ever kept it. My project was a complete tear down of my sunroom and rebuilding the room. I plan to hire them again for a new back deck in the spring."

"We were really pleased with DiOrio's work. We needed a storage platform built in our attic to make room for new insulation. We were concerned a carpenter wouldn't take such a small job so also decided to ask to replace some damaged siding we had here and there around the house. I called DiOrio, and they agreed to come out that week. I had assumed I'd have to make a lot of calls to get someone to come out in the timeframe we needed, so was really happy there. DiOrio was upfront that taking off siding could reveal some underlying damage to the house, which happened to be the case for us. The job went from a $3K estimate to an actual cost of $12K given the extent of the damage. While the cost increase was overwhelming, DiOrio seemed to really know what they were doing. Everything appeared to be done in a high-quality and detailed way, and they communicated with us throughout the process. They were also able to finish the work in a timely way and not keep us hanging on for weeks or months. We're planning to have them back in the spring to check for damage under some additional areas of siding."

"We hired Crystal Painting to repaint the exterior of our 1929 Dutch Colonial. The home hadn’t been repainted in 9 years and had significant peeling and exposed wood and therefore was also in need of some carpentry work. We hired Leo and his crew from Crystal based on reading other reviews on various sites, meeting him in person (many firms just look at your house online and provide a quote or do a quick stop and go without talking to you), and based on his willingness to give us a quote that included both the painting and carpentry work (most other painters were unwilling to quote the carpentry until they were on the job). The pricing quote was a bit higher than other quotes but based on the reviews we read and the quality of the conversations, we decided to take a chance on Leo and Crystal painting and weren’t disappointed. Leo’s crew showed up daily (in varying numbers depending on what needed to be done) over a two week period, did a good job of prepping the house, getting it primed, fixing the carpentry and applying two coats of paint. Some of the carpentry involved replacing rotted moldings along the roof line that likely had been on the house since it was built in 1929, amazingly he was able to find matching pieces to replace the damaged pieces. In addition, there were several color and other changes made along the way and Leo was great at accommodating those at no additional cost. Overall, we were very happy with Leo and Crystal painting and would hire them again. Several of our neighbors who saw their work, have since hired them as well."

"Needed to replace deck boards and convert a two-level deck to one level. Conversion was also going to Trex materials. Tim walked through all options and ideas and was able to include a new staircase to access the deck.. During work, he was very responsive and communicated well especially upon inspection that not only did entire deck need to be rebuilt from footing up but the sill require some work as well.. Tim and his crew were very professional, thorough and communicated well throughout the process. Time line was accurate and we've been enjoying our new deck"
