"When our landscaper said we had a bee problem after they were stung, we called in the experts at Critter Control. Roger and another tech arrived early for our appointment and went to examine the area after we provided them the information we had. Well---there was no bee nest found, nor any signs of bees in or around the utility boxes within the landscaped area. We are so grateful that Critter Control is upfront and honest. They gave us helpful information on signs to look for but didn't even charge us for their inspection service call. Now this is amazing customer service! Thanks Critter Control!"

"Well, pest control has been an issue at my house, so the jury is still out. We use them throughout the fall. There was one worker that came out. We never eradicated our pest problem; we still get bugs."

"These people are awesome! They came and didn't initial assessment and offered what I thought was a fair price for the job. They followed up several times and I haven't had a problem since. Overall they were very professional and I would recommend them."

"I paid $250 to have a honeybee colony removed without killing them. I talked to Jonathan who was professional and knowledgeable. He assured me that the bee keeper would safely remove the bees and keep them alive and healthy. However, I am not sure this is the case. The workers stuffed the bees into a trash bag. When I put something in a trash bag it is generally thrown away and not kept alive. Unfortunately I could not communicate with the bee keeper and her 2 workers because they did not speak a word of English. Any question I asked had to be translated over the phone, which was very frustrating. In summary, I feel like I was told what I wanted to hear. I’m not sure that you will get what you pay for if you want live removal and relocation. I’d use another bee removal service with more effective communication."

"Came out on a Sunday to accommodate getting the treatment done before going to settlement in two days. Clearly explained the treatment process and what to expect. Price was very reasonable in comparison to other bids. My experience so far has been five star. Too soon to tell yet if the treatment worked but the work is warranted for a year and transferrable to the new would-be owners."

FAQs for bird and bat pest control service projects in Needville, TX

Bats slip through gaps as small as 1/4 inch, so your best defense is a thorough seal-up and a few simple habit tweaks. Start by caulking or screening every crack around chimneys, eaves, and vents. Swap dim porch bulbs for brighter LEDs or motion lights (bats dislike the glare), and consider an ultrasonic deterrent if they keep circling.

Finally, remove easy snacks—cover standing water and skip the nighttime bird-feeder refills. These steps go a long way toward keeping your home bat-free.

Standard homeowners’ insurance rarely pays for bat removal because insurers view it as routine maintenance. You might get partial help for guano cleanup or related repairs, but that varies by policy. Review your insurance policy carefully and contact your provider for a definitive explanation. Securing all entry points remains the homeowner’s responsibility to prevent future incursions.

The sweet spot for bat exclusion is late summer through spring. That window keeps you inside most state rules and protects baby bats that haven’t learned to fly yet. Removal activities are conducted when bats are less active, with some states permitting work from August through May and others ceasing removal in March. Consult a qualified bat removal specialist to confirm the valid timeframe for your area.

Spotting a dead bat can be unsettling, but a calm, careful approach keeps everyone safe. First, call your state wildlife office to report the find and ask about local rules. Snap a quick photo from a distance, then—wearing disposable gloves—place the bat in a sealed plastic bag for disposal as directed.

Wipe down nearby surfaces with disinfectant, wash your hands thoroughly, and schedule a pest-control pro to make sure no live bats (or harmful guano) remain hidden in the house.
