"I first employed Chuck 17 years ago for a major house remodel and expansion. That project went well and was completed on time. I have since hired Chuck for many other projects and have recommended him to others. He will also be doing another renovation for me this October 2017"

"Communication!! Larry at G&R is a superb communicator. Since our job was so large, many, many details had to be considered. I was overwhelmed until I realized that Larry had me covered. Larry answered his phone within 3 rings about 95% of the time, the other 5%, I received a call-back within 15 minutes. I NEVER felt "out-of-the-loop." First, Larry walked us through the planning phase and created a payment structure that fit our needs. From there, he spent hours "shopping" with us to choose materials. Larry was super knowledgeable about which materials were superior, and the differences in types of roofing, paint, siding, cabinets, flooring etc., etc. Whenever I got short on time, Larry was able to make the right decisions about materials. I felt like Larry's flexibility would allow him to help the most "hands-on" client, to those that just want him to "do his thing." All of the permitting, regulations navigating and coordinating comes easily to G&R. The whole process went very smoothly, because Larry was always at least one step ahead of the process. Materials and labor coordinating plus city inspectors' timeline is critical in any project, and Larry handled this seamlessly. We had no slow downs or waste. Larry was able to use our budget planning to include the most cost-effective upgrades. We were able to make a more comfortable home because Larry was often able to find quality, upgraded materials at a lower-than-expected price. Larry also kept other costs to a minimum to maximize the amount of "house" we got for our money. This seemed to be G&R's ultimate goal: to build us the absolute best home possible within our budget. G&R's employees are all very professional. I would often stop by the jobsite, unannounced, to find everyone working efficiently. The crew chief regularly walked me through various tasks as they were occurring. Crew were always very safety-conscious, politely reminding me to please wear a hard-hat and eye protection while on the jobsite. The final result was that we got a much nicer house than we thought possible, given our financial constraints. The final cost of our estimated $225,000 project was within about 1%. I HIGHLY recommend G&R Construction."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in New Castle, CO

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
