"The technician arrived late and I needed to follow up with office to make sure I had the right expectation, which I did, and then shortly after he called me to let me know he was on the way. Not really too big a deal since he was about 45 minutes later than his window. My gas fireplace was not lighting properly and the pilot light would go out periodically. At the end of last winter I shut off the gas for safety reasons. I called Chimney Cricket because of the recommendations of Angies list, they have all A's. The technician was professional and did an inspection of the situation and components, he checked the remote starter and ended up changing all batteries. The remote was not "connecting" and the fire would not start. Shortly after the fire seemed to start on its own. The technician continued to assess the situation but eventually made the assessment, because he could not determine definitively the manufacturer of the log set and the apparent randomness of the fire starting, that I should completely replace all components of the fireplace. In follow up emails he was going to check into the situation further and get back to me on some recommendations, I did not hear back after more than a week so I went to the local fireplace shop (Chadds Ford Fireside Shop) to buy a whole new set. The shop salesman really questioned me and doubted that I would need to spend 2,000+ on a complete new set up including the chimney inspections and installation. He recommended that I spend another fee for "their" guy to come and have a look. I was not at all interested in paying another inspection fee, I argued with the salesman about how a professional had already assessed everything and that his guy was going to find the same, but I relented after the owner of the shop realized through our conversation that his shop had installed this fireplace and all components just 6 years prior. So the new chimney Technician came out today and after checking everything essentially pushed a reset button on the remote receiver to re-sync the remote transmitter and receiver. Now the fireplace is working fine again, he also cleaned the components and pilot light. I'm writing this review because 1) the price was very high for the service received (The other technician who fixed my remote today was MUCH more reasonable). 2) Chimney Cricket didn't really tell me anything I didn't already know. 3) For a technician who has been in the gas log fireplace business for 30+ years I don't understand why he didn't know to try pushing the reset button. 4) He ended up fixing nothing, he did not fully follow up to give me recommendations and aside from an honest Fireplace shop owner who was more interested in getting my fireplace working vs making a new sale I would have spent 2,000+ for a new set up."

"After 26 years we knew, the time had come to replace our existing roof. At the recommendation of our neighbor, we placed a call to Brian Fallon at Trenton Roofing. At our home visit/evaluation Brian thoroughly explained the roofing process and within a few days submitted an estimate for the work we had discussed. In October of 2020 we signed the contracts and were given an estimated installation date. Brian kept us informed of the material availability and the anticipated date of install. In January of 2021 we received notification that Trenton Roofing had received all materials for our job and the work was scheduled. The crew was amazing – they were careful, efficient and their workmanship superior. Our yard was meticulously checked and cleared of all debris. We were so impressed with the roof install that we decided to engage Trenton Roofing for window replacement. In March of 2021 Brian Fallon along with Robert the window installer, visited our home to measure all existing windows. Once again within a few days we had an estimate for the new windows and installation. We were told from the start that our order would take between 8-12 weeks and installation would take approximately 3 days. We were delighted when windows arrived at the two-month mark and installation was scheduled. On the day of installation Robert and his team arrived promptly and went straight to work. Within 2.5 days Robert had completed the removal and installation of 25 windows. His work - sheer perfection! Robert is truly a master craftsman you would never even know that the new windows were not the existing ones in the home. His careful and precise work left the original window framework completely intact. Words cannot describe how thoroughly delighted we are in the finished product. Once again, Brian Fallon communicated with us every step of the way – made site visits to our home the day of the roof install and during the window Installation as well. Five Stars are not enough to give to Brian, Robert and to the Trenton Roofing team. If you are contemplating roof/window replacement – don’t think twice just call Trenton Roofing. "Kevin and Nick were EXCELLENT. Kevin gave the price for services up front. After inspecting my chimney, he was concern about the wear and tear and loose tiles. He told me there would be an additional charge if he had to address those issues during installation. He assured me he would do everything to avoid further damage to avoid additional charges. He came through without any problems. The installation went perfect. The job was completed in just over an hour. Kevin and Nick were prompt, pleasant and professional. They laid a dropcloth from the front door to my basement door to avoid dirtying my floor. They completely cleaned up the work area when finished. I am completely satisfied with their work. My neighbor recommended them because of everything I just stated."

"It was a good experience from the start. The customer service representative who answered my call was pleasant, professional, and efficient. I was surprised to get an appt. within a few days of my call. Nick was the tech who responded. He explained everything step by step through his visit. He spent an hour looking over the entire unit rather than suggesting a "quick fix" like the previous repairman. I could have had my unit up an running for about $150, but I opted for the 24 point cleaning and maintenance package which increased the cost by about $200. We have lived in the house for 5 years, and the gas fireplace has been one of our favorite features. However, we didn't know it could look so good until Nick worked his magic. We will be signing up for the service contract which seems to be an especially good deal. This relatively small business seems to really have its act together."
